Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
An older post about cleaning tri-fold shower doors has recently been revived, but I thought I would start a new thread offering the method I have devised for cleaning our tri-fold doors and tracks. It seems so many are fretting about this, but I don't find it a very difficult task at all. Warning: This...
We have been looking for a utility box 60"(L)x24"(H)x24"(W) to put in the back of our truck along the cab. We have found a lot that are smaller than that and one that is the right size but they wanted almost $1000 for it. Does anyone know where we could get one that size or have any other sug...
Besides the rig being almost completely redone and having a new alternator installed, the other day we discovered a puddle under the rear of the truck which looked and smelled like gasoline (the diesel sort). The mechanic noted that when the king pin fell into the bed, it dented the fuel tanks but he d...
Hello. I have read on more than one occasion that used RVs in general may cost less in certain regions than others, I assume because they are more plentiful. I was wondering if others have found this to be true and where. Are there any areas in particular where we might look? Like the southwest, sout...
I realize that the answer to this question varies widely, and depends on many factors. But still, I need to have some idea, so I know what sorts of rigs I can reasonably shop for and what is entirely out of my price range. So. Given a dealer sale of a used high-end diesel pusher, one between 5 and 10 years old...

Well, what 4 days can do!!! We had decided that if the house had not sold by April that we would look into re...
Hi Everyone,Thanks to all of you for the thoughts, prayers, stories, emails, comments, and support during the last eight weeks. My mother's sudden decline due to lung cancer and eventual death on Dec 29, was one of the most difficult, most emotional times of my life and every piece of support help...
It seems to be one learning curve/challenge after another this month, and it's been costing me a fortune to have the repair an out, so hopefully I can solve this with your help. I've checked the valves, they are turned on at the wall behind the washer. The water lines run under the gooseneck and nothing s...
The title of this thread is my handle on a couple of other forums. Read my story below to see why I use it.Not new to RV-Dreams or the forum or to RV'ing or even Full-Timing but it has been years since I've done much on line posting except for Facebook. But, since we'll be attending the Spring Rally in Sevi...
So we just got back from Quartzsite, and even though we were far from being impressed with the RV's they had on display there, we did receive what we consider a wealth of information. After some research for the past few days we saw that changing our domicile to SD would be of great benefit for us, especi...
does anybody have anything good or bad to say about Dutch Star by Newmar. We had our minds made up on a 5th wheel NH. But we have seen this Dutch Star that we liked a lot. the quality looked pretty good to us. Has a Cummins 450 hp with Allison trans and comfort drive control. the 4369 43' floor plan was one of...
We are are ordering a new 2015 Ram 3500 HD with DRW. It is the Laramie trim level. Future plans call for a fifth wheel and extensive driving in the western states. The packages we have selected include one 220 amp alternator. An option is to get dual rated at 440 amp alternators (two 220 amp). Is this a...
I have been offered a job this summer at Rocky Mountain National Park unfortunately there is no RV spots for employees. Does anyone know of any RV parks nearby that I could stay at this summer?
We have a 2013 Landmark Key Largo with the Mega Bath. It has a triple fold glass shower door that overlaps each pane. Does anyone have experience with this type of shower door? Cleaning the exposed glass is not a problem, has anyone figured out how to clean between the overlapping panes without disasse...
Just too much detail to go into, but it's all on my blog (Day 203). Although it's terrible when we all experience life's little (and big) setbacks, I'm glad to have this wonderful family here and to know I'm not alone, and this is all part of the adventure! I'm sure my problems are minor compared to othe...
Several of us are planning to get together at Silly Al's Pizza in Quartzsite next Wednesday, Jan. 14th at 6 PM. Feel free to join us if you are interested!!
Still in Yuma, I plan to head to Q on Monday. I'll be parking at RoadRunner with Gina and her posse for a few days, then heading over to Plomosa Rd where the SKP Boondockers are at. Wonder if we can get some Solo Cafe action happening? Where are all of you? Kyra
Last night while driving the truck (Ford F550), we noticed the battery light flash on momentarily. There are 2 batteries and both were replaced 6 months ago. We plugged in the charger this morning and one was at 95% and the other 65% The truck has not been hooked up to the RV. What could be the cause of l...

Does anyone have a Contoure Convection Grill microwave/convection oven and do you bake bread in it? I have a class C and have somehow misplaced or lost the little manual that came with the mic/convection oven. I am thinking I could perhaps bake my own bread, since most store-bought, even the most expe...

We are at a sort of crossroads with our current TV and internet. As we approach going FT in a few years, we are switching from one source to another. Currently we are hooked up to Comcast but the current promo we are under is ending and the new rates make looking elsewhere worth checking out. We found a ATT...
