Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Campgrounds near Jackson, WY

Any recommendations for campgrounds near Jackson, WY?  We will be there next summer, probably July, and we pull a 38' Bighorn.

The further away from Jackson you go, the better you will probably like your campground. I stayed in Dubois in 2017 at the KOA. That may be too far out for some folks, being 50 miles away, but it was a great place to stay. There is a closer RV park 10-15 miles east of Moran Junction that seemed popular. I read that the RV parks in the immediate Jackson vicinity don't really measure up. You can also try looking just west of Jackson on the Idaho side - several available there.

If we can get out west we plan on staying at the Gros Ventre Campground which is just north of Jackson a few miles inside the Grand Teton Nat Park. they have 350 camp sites that are first come. it is Highly recommended by folks that have been there.

You can visit Virginia RV park. Nice location if you want something in town. You also have access to the pool and hot tub in the lodge. Another note: breakfast at the adjacent Virginian Restaurant was huge and fantastic! Kept us good until dinner.
