Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Going FT earlier than planned

This summer I posted about my plans to start full-timing in the Spring 2020.  (https://rv-dreams.activeboard.com/t65659181/class-of-2020/)  My dad had recently passed and my brother and I would need to finish settling/disposing of his assets.

Well, his three teenage kids (one in 9th grade and the twins in 10th grade) have moved in with us and he's in the process of getting full custody.  (There were removed from an abusive situation.)  So he and they will be here at least through this school year, and maybe through their high school careers.

I sold my 36' Winnie DP and bought a 29' Winnebago Aspect (Class C).  I also got an enclosed trailer to haul my Can-Am Spyder and my Smart Car.

So with the crowd here, I've decided to move my travel schedule up.  I'll leave a couple days after Christmas and head south.  I'll finish winter in Tucson and then get to the RV Dreamers rally in eastern Tennessee.  That will give me through April to make a plan for after that.  So I'm trying to get things done here before I leave - like doctor appointments, vaccinations for my dog, hair cut, eye exam and new lenses, etc., etc.  I have already changed my domicile to Texas and am set up with Escapee's for my mail.

The nice thing is that I don't have to finish purging my stuff until late Spring or later.  So, these first few months will be an education and I can still pull from my "stuff" at home if I need to.

Patti

Purging your stuff takes the right attitude. Have to be "cold hearted!" lol
