Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

2017 Albuquerque Baloon Festiville

i have reservations for the entire event but due to other factors can only attend the first 3-4 days or the last 3-4 days. My question is which time segment would be the best? Thanks for your input.

Jim

Ok I give up. Was the question not clear or has no one been to the Baloon Festiville before?

We did 9/10 days at the Fiesta this Last year (2016). The weather/winds were almost perfect for the event during 2016, but there were still 3 sessions canceled due to weather. The chance you are taking is that if you are there for 4 days you might miss a few sessions if you are unlucky.

That being said it is an amazing event. Don't worry about where you are camped, even the cheaper sites can be amazing given the right winds. At times we had balloons landing within 100 feet of our front windshield.

It is a "bucket list" event.

We're going this year and will be there for the first half at the Escapees HOP boondocking at the festival site. For us…the first 6 days or the last 6 days was pretty much the same as far as what you're going to see. If you're only going 3-4 days then you need to look at the schedule and see what's going on the first few and last few days. There's a complete schedule of events for the HOP on the Escapees site and while the dinners and social events won't apply if you're not going to the HOP the actual festival events are listed on there as well.

To my view…doing Sat-Tues at the beginning or Thu-Sun at the end look pretty equivalent as far as festival events go…YMMV of course.

If you can't find the schedule drop me a PM with your email and I'll send you a copy.

We will also be there at the Escapees HOP for the entire time. Like the sound of a mini rally.
