Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi all, In the last two years Lee and I have tried multiple ways of generating revenue on the road ( working a corporate job, beet harvest, camp hosting, gate guarding, and selling Christmas Trees) and I finally had an opportunity to write a summary of those various experiences. If you are researchi...
We got a quote from Camping World for a complete setup to tow our 2011 Equinox behind our 2017 Winnebago Forza DP. They included a 2 year Repair Plan on the All Terrain Falcon tow bar, and one on the Air Force 1 Brake System. They are $139.49 and $220.49 respectively. I'm usually hesitant to buy these p...

There's several that are full time RV'ers or have been and any questions about RV'ing is welcome. We hope to see y...
I sent the following letter to the Shade Pro website "contact us" 5 days ago and have had no response. It was reworded slightly different as it was directed to them but the content was exactly the same. At least we aren't out anything!I made an appointment through the owner of Shade Pro Mike at their bo...
My wife (Julie), grandson (Ethan), and I just graduated from a Fleetwood pop-up to a Starcraft AR-One MAX 26BHS TT. We enjoyed the Pop-up for over 12 years but as we grew older the hassle of set up and take down became too much of a chore. In about five years we plan to sell the TT and purchase a fifth-whee...
So the serviceman came today to replace the solonoid valve but discovered that wasn't the problem -- it was a pinhole leak in the ice maker water line. He pulled out the frig and replaced the clear tubing (as an aside, he also fixed the door which kept coming off the track. Total cost was $100, which was...
This is my first post so I hope I am doing this right and put this in the right spot. I wanted to see if anyone has heard of this unit or has it. We saw it at an RV show this weekend and it almost sounds to good to be true. You buy this box and it runs through your wifi. You can get pretty much any show, sports...
This is the position we had last year and it has just been posted on Volunteer.gov. Seasonal Bird Migration Monitoring Volunteers. It starts the last week of August for a week of training and then runs through the end of October. We worked five days a week with a three-hour shift in the morning starti...
I have read many threads that refer to the "black tank burps" as an indicator of when it's time to dump it. I, too, experience this and have begun using it as my indicator of dump time. My question is ... why does it do that? It's an interesting phenomenon, but I am wondering if anyone knows, or has a theo...

I understand this is a very basic question, but if I want to post in a thread, without replying to a specific post, how do I do that? Do I still use the "reply" button in the latest post of that thread?
We are about 15 months from retirement, currently living full-time in our RV. Our plan is to travel about 9 months of each year, seeing the US. We plan to bring our Harley Davidson with us, and most of our sight-seeing will be on the bike. Our original plan was to purchase a higher-end 5er toy-hauler....
We are currently moving our 'address' from Indiana to Florida. In the process we acquired nationwide coverage on health insurance through the market place. So that works. But we also discovered Florida vehicle insurance rates are significantly higher than Indiana and that many companies have wi...
Hi All, Looks like the time for a Mor-Ryde upgrade has come. We discovered we have a bent spindle on our Axle but out warranty company is refusing to replace it because it hasn't "failed" yet. Yes I know it's ridiculous, and we have appealed but they seem to be holding firm. We wanted to upgrade at som...
I recently acquired a 2015 Holiday Rambler Admiral and I have to say I really love its exquisite interior design. It majorly comprises of neutral tones that give it a calm, warm and balanced atmosphere. Now I'm in need of a nice dog crate for my two-year-old Beagle. I need a crate that will bring warmth a...
Our new trailer has a mcrowave convection combination oven. I have no idea how to use the convection aspect of it, and the directions are completely useless. It came with a metal rack that has orange plastic tips. What is this for? You can't use metal when microwaving, but if it is for convection co...
I looked on the forum and couldn't find a category for letting folks know our 5th wheel is for sale. I have a 2011 Carriage Cameo 36FWS now on Consignment. The Consignment shop has photos on their website but no "description" so I was hoping to post a description here if anyone was interested. Please let...
I would like to hang a magnetic knife bar above the stove but I'm not sure how to go about it. For anyone that has one in their RV, how did you mount it to the wall? The wall board is very thin, and there are no studs/supports anywhere in the area that I would like to hang this. Also, is it even a good idea, or woul...
Looking for ideas for carrying one adult bike (and ideally a step ladder) on my class C. The class C has a receiver used to tow a vehicle and no mounted ladder on the motorhome. Have asked rv dealer and rv manufacturer about adding a ladder and both have advised not to do it. (nothing solid to mount lad...
No it is not a euphemism for anything and no I really don't want to know the answer. I was just remembering how back in our bricks and sticks house there was always that one door that always swung shut or open on its own. In the RV, our mid-cabin bathroom door swings open or closed based on how we are level....
We are newbies but I already understand the importance of tire, wheel, and suspension health. I want us to get each tire weighed but where can we do that??? Thanks in advance for the help.
Hello everyone, were new here but not new to living in campers, including ClassA, Class C, 5th wheels and bumper trailers from 25ft to 34ft. I am just putting my feelers out to get some advice or help finding good deals before i start pouring $$$$ into this project. We had a 400W solar system on our last Cl...
WE WOULD LIKE ANY INPUT ON ANYONE'S OPINION FOR THE BEST WHEEL 50000 RANGE FOR FULLTIME USE. ALSO IS IT BETTER TO BUY NEW OR LOOK FOR A GOOD PRE-OWNED?
My husband Rob and I (Karen), have started the process to become full-time RV'ers. We are listing our home on the market, gotten in touch with an estate sale specialist, and are looking at a Jayco Seneca 37FS. We would appreciate any comments, or helpful info you can give us. Thanks.
Has anyone had experience importing a Canadian unit (originally manufactured in USA & exported to Canada), and then trading it in on a unit from a US dealer? We're from Alberta, Canada and have been travelling through the warmer States to escape the cold & snow back home! Found a nice Newmar M...
