Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I AM NEW TO THIS SITE AND I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME IF THEY USE A VIRGINMOBLE AIR CARD AND IF THEY HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH IT THANKYOU! TOM NACKE
It has been over 10 years since I had an RV. My memory has failed me again. When filling the fresh water tank, do I have to keep a facet open to allow air pressure to escape? Do I need to have the water pump on? We just purchased a 1979 Sportscoach 3300, we did get a basic manual with it, but not RV's for Dum...
My wife , Patsy, and I have short time camped close to home for the last 30 yrs. no more than two weeks at a time. I went to work from the campground. I'm retiring next July and we are planning on spending our winters in Florida. Starting after Chrstmas untill mid March or so. We would appretiate any an...
Has anyone been to both shows? If you could only go to one, which one would you recommend? We would like to go to a large show before we decide on our fulltime rig. Also, which one has the most vendors for RV and camping acccessories? James and Cindy

Hi Everyone. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, all the way from down-under. A few days ago we had a day out shopping and a comment by HeyDuke made me think you might all be interested. We live a little out of the way on the Coromandel Peninsula http://www.thecoromandel.com/, and...
For those of us that has not sold our S/B homes, has anyone rented or leased their property while it was still on the market for sale. What are the Pros/Cons. The reason I ask is that we have a gig for the summer, and I would also much rather be some where warmer next winter. With the economy being what it is...
Does any one ever got that strange look from other peoples whenever you tell them that your residence is your RV. It does happen to me quite often and people look at me like there is something growing on my face. It always amaze me and wonder how much peoples really know about our lifestyle. Out of curiosi...
I'm wondering how many of you have RVs with heated tanks. Seems like a good thing to have even in Florida in these changing weather conditions. But I don't know if it's a common feature or an add on that folks request. I searched for heated tanks on the forum but it doesn't look like it's been discussed b...
My fiance Chris and I have (had?) a 5 year plan to be FT - when my youngest, now 14, would be graduated and doing her own thing. My 18yo son graduated last year ... and is having movitational issues and is still at home too- certinally in 5 years he will find his way - right?! My daughter has been supportive...
Please give my wife and I some of your favorite campground destinations for us to spend our first winter in Florida in. Starting soon after Christmas until mid- March or so. Hope to see each of you at the next campground. Thanks.
3rd time trying to post this. At least today it's because of our 1st snow storm. Read the "lost post" post. Don't know why, hit submit and that's the end of it. LOL Hello All, We actually remodeled stores in malls for 10 years RVing. Low pay, no insurance, but a great time. Mostly east of the Mis...

For the last few weeks, I have been reading lots of information at this site. I decided I needed to introduce myself. We are James and Cindy Sullivan. I have 3.5 years to early retirement and possibly a fulltime lifestyle. We currently have a 30' fifthwheel, but will need a toyhauler . I won't fulltim...
Today Verizon held their teleconference in Walton, MA to announce the official launch details of their new VZ4G LTE service. The main speaker was CTO Tony Melone, who announced that the VZ4G LTE service will launch on 12/5/2010. The service will be initially available in 38 markets covering 110 mil...
I got this in an email and thought it sounded like a good idea.... Apparently this is a standard procedure all paramedics follow at the scene of an accident when they come across your cell phone.ICE - 'In Case of Emergency' We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory bu...
Hello All from sunny Baghdad, Iraq. Just want to introduce myself to this fine group of RV enthusiasts. I am currently working in Baghdad, Iraq as a security contractor and hope to return home to the good 'ol USA in Feb to pick up my 1976 Bluebird Wanderlodge. I am going to drive her from NE Missouri back t...
I had an idea for my wife and now she is excited about the prospect. She plays piano and has been in church choirs since she was a young lady. Since we have plans to camp in church parking lots a lot, and try and attend church on Sunday mornings, I told her why don't we see how many churches you can join the...
We will be leaving for Texas shortly after Christmas and the motorhome has been winterized. Should we clear the lines and put water in before we leave or wait till we get to Texas. Is this even allowed at the CG's? As a diabetic I must have my bathroom close by and usable.
On a lark, we bought a 5er with one slide several years ago.. my half ton would have barely handled it on the flats. Being a professional dump truck driver I know weight limits and when not to push them. So, we bought a 2006 2500 hd chevy. Power to spare with the DURAMAX diesel with the Allison tranny...
I wanted to hear from the motor cycle riders on how they bring thier motorcycles with them. Are they using Toy Haulers, trailers, modified lifts or what ever. I am not fulltiming yet but we have narrowed down our rig possabilities to a Dodge 3500 SRW Diesel, 32ft Montana 5er. So that would pretty much me...
Want to buy bicycles and was wondering how many people have the folding bicycles and if they like them? Do they fold up easy? Where do you put them when you are travelling?
Okay, I think I have the instructions set up so they are easy to follow. If you RV and ride and would like to connect with other RVing Riders, I have created a by-invitation map where you can enter your current location and see if others are near you. If you have a Google account already set up (does NOT have...
Lake Paradise, that is! We arrived yesterday safe and sound. See my blog here for details. Hope to have "Hughie" (Hughes Net system) up and running tomorrow. Thanks to all for your thoughts, prayers and messages! Cheers! Betty
I spent my early years growing up in Pasadena, CA. We always spent New Year's eve sleeping on the blvd. and sitting up all night waiting for the parade. One of my "bucket list" items is to see the Rose Parade one more time in person. My parents used to park their RV on a side street and we'd set...
