Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Please give my wife and I some of your favorite campground destinations for us to spend our first winter in Florida in. Starting soon after Christmas until mid- March or so. Hope to see each of you at the next campground. Thanks.
Be happy to make some suggestions if you give me some idea of:
1) What part of Florida , North, South, Central, East or West Coast. 2) You looking for a destination campground with golf, fishing, etc. or a basic full hookup site?
Thanks for the reply. Short answer, We wanna stay warm lol... Don't know much about Florida except it has to be warmer than Kentucky winters. We love fishing and hiking. Would like to be within walking distance of the beach or near a good sized lake with full hook-up. We're in a 33 ft. Cedar Creek Fifth Wheel. Would love to here your suggestions. Thanks again.
A handy site for research is at www.rvparkreviews.com You can select different locations/areas and get a good idea of amenities and rates. Just remember, a lot of sites are rather, shall we say, overblown? I tend to trust the AVERAGE of the ratings.
Florida is a big state with literally thousands of RV parks. If you want to be on either coast, they can get really pricey, especially as you get down to the southern end. It's probably easier to find parks if you can move around somewhat. Destination parks for the "season" are probably booked already.
The suggestion to choose an area and then cruise RV Park Reviews is an excellent one. Good luck,
We have been in Florida several times. In the Keys, East and West sides. The futher South and closer to water the price goes up. Many of the RV parks don't have concrete pads and many are very tight spaces. However we are going back at the end of the month. We really should have went to Arizona which was were we had reservations. The cost of the sites are expensive for what they offer. Unless you go to the high-end RV parks and then the price will really jump.
