Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have been in touch with Howard regarding making changes to usernames, but it seems to be apparent that the moderators will not have the option of making username changes. That will have to wait until Howard and Linda return from vacation since it looks to be a function that requires administrator r...
We welcomed the arrival of our "new" 2008 Select Suites 36rs3 Monday morning. The dealer delivered the unit and took the old Citation away in trade. Since we are nearly full time already, we had to put all our things in bags and boxes and store our worldly goods in the vehicles while the deliv...
I have drafted a couple of frequent contributors to the Forum to moderate posts while Linda & I are gone. They will have the ability to edit and delete posts that are spam or not in line with the overall good nature of this Forum. They will also have the ability to change usernames upon request. If m...
I recently purchased a diesel pusher with a cummins 400 isl. The govenor is factory set at 2200 RPM. Where is the "sweet" spot as far as the RPM. As you guys are running down the road where do you like to keep your RPM, for performance as well as mileage?
in visiting other RV forums, I can not believe the snarkeyness and meanness that I have read on them. You all have been very nice & I appreciate it a lot. I get enough snarkeyness from work There is not any topic that calls for mean responses. Thanks again RV Dreamers!
Today I'm filled with many questions so here's one more. Dirt. Ok, I love the outdoors, I garden, I love nature, I'm a potter for goodness sake, so I'm used to getting dirtly. What I wonder about is a dirt yard all the time. We have 2 big Patio Mats and I keep them swept, but when we camp the outdoors are...

I am about to change out my six house batteries, the original ones are Interstate wet cell, I am replacing them with the Blue Optima AGM. Since I have owned the Rig, about a year and a half, I have looked at but not messed with the Magnum Controller, it has a dial, inverter on off, a few other buttons, and a LE...
I don't know if there are already posts about this topic but I would really like to know how people feel about having a washer and dryer installed in the RV for our cross country trips. If you do have one installed can you tell me your experience with it? Is there a specifc RV appropriate washer and dryer se...
How important would you Class C or A folks consider automatic levelingto be? From what I've been reading, Big Foot for example has 3 versions - Automatic, Wireless and manual. Not too sure what wireless is.Not cheap, but the leveling blocks seem like they would be a very big PITA!!!Will be ordering...
Has anyone invested in a screen room that attaches to your awning. Carefree and others offer them. Seem like a nice addition but never see them and wonder how difficult they are to attach/detach (wind, storms, etc.). Hesitant to get one without hearing from those whose may use them. Thanks!
Does anyone have a big foot leveling system on their fifth wheel. looking at maybe adding it to ours and was interested in any advice or comments. Thanks Stay Safe
New to RV'ing and have a question in reference to pets.. Want to take my pup(s) along occasionally but wondering if there are any outdoor fences or kennels i'm not sure what you would call it... Something that is easily taken along and put up at your rv site that gives them their own space but contains the...
For the last two months, in our admittedly very hot Texas summer, our electrical bill where we're staying has been in the $200 range per month. Does anybody have a similar experience? I'm of the mind that this isn't even possible...
We know that not everything that we should have is included when we buy a rig. We're starting to try to put together a list of the things, other than 5th wheel and truck we will need and what they cost. I'm talking about things like surge protectors, hoses of various kinds, wheel chocks, water pressure...
Do you record TV programs to watch later so you can skip (fast forward) through the commercials ? Or do you record the first 15 minutes of a program and then go back to the beginning so you can fast forward through the commercials ? I'm asking this out of curiousity for those of us who have Digital Video Re...
My wife and I bought a class a motorhome 6 weeks ago and have enjoyed it very much travelin from florida to texas then to tennessee and now we are returning to our boat in florida. We stay on our boat all winter in Ft Lauderdale and are looking for a place to keep the RV while there while we are cruising. We...
The house was on the market for 80 days. During that time, we got several lowball offers, offers with contingencies, etc. We rejected all of those & held out for a decent offer which finally came. So today the deal closed & we are officially "houseless". We have a "rent ba...
Brought this quote over from another topic;
We have 4 cats but they don't travel with us. I think we would do more traveling if we could take them with us but with a 5th wheel I think it would be more difficult. First putting them in the truck them moving them to the RV them moving them back wh...
We're looking for our FT rig and are wondering what things are "must haves"? I have a list and wondering if there's others I should be aware of?? On that list is a dining room table with chairs (not the bench seats), the TV must be in the living room area, it must have a coat closet, and it must...
Just a quick note to know we found this site by accident as my wife was surfing looking for RV info sources. We bought our Tiffin 35QBA in July. We love it!!! looking forward to meeting some of you folks on the road? Anyone from Northern Virginia?
Well we had our first frost yesterday morning, just on the metal roofs but still chilly. Friday and Saturday only reached low 60's here in Custer SD suppose to warm back up to the mid 70's this week. The locals say that when the grasshoppers get active, there will be snow in six weeks. If they are right th...

Hi, I'm Kimbrell Frazier, a full-time potter. At this time, I sell most of my work wholesale to galleries and shops all over the country. If we make the final decision to go full-time, giving up my beautiful studio may be the hardest part. My plan is to retire from production, and focus on one-of-a...
