Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I forgot to ask a question in my previous post. The truck I have now is a Ford F350 with the tow package built in. Also it has an electric brake control in it. If it has tow control why does it need a brake control? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
OK. A "harmonic" is something that occurs "away from" the original source. It is noticeable in electronics and sounds. Our "water harmonic" occurs in the vicinity of the shower faucet when we run water (usually hot) at either the kitchen or bathroom sink. It is...

Between NOMADS volunteer projects and other plans in TX and Nebraska we have about 4 weeks to do some sightseeing. We will be travleling through Kansas during that time. So, what is there to see? Looking for suggestions for campgrounds too. Thanks!
I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that owing a house (much less a house, barn, big studio and 2 outbuildings) is just to expensive. Over the last week, I have discovered 6 new cracks in the walls in our house and significantly widened crack in the concrete front porch. No doubt these are the result...
I did a search and was surprised to find that this topic had never been explored before.... What was your worst (non-vehicle accident or serious injury) experience while RVing. Our worst experience was on a cross country 5-week trip to visit friends and relatives. While towing the 5th wheel throu...

Hi I just joined the site with concerns about my new ventures in life on traveling with my two cats. I will be moving from Md to Fl and living in an RV for about 6-9 months maybe longer. My cats have lived a sheltered life with not much activity from others. (Not my choice but my soon to be ex's) So, we are reloc...
Short version-----Live on Long Island NY---Rig in Rhinebeck NY, hopefully Rig will never see Long island. Called a RV place in Rhinebeck, asked them about Inspection, they said, "if you live on Long Island, your Rig must be inspected there" I always thought a NY State inspection, covere...
After moving back into a house a few years back we stored our Monty using it only a few weeks each year. Now that we have grand kids up North and only get to see them a few weeks each year. Well that was until now, the Monty has come to the rescue! We have decide to try our idea of reverse snow birding and are...
I purchased one of these and have to pass this on. It's the LOG TEEPEE Campfire Grate. It holds your firewood in a upright position so it gets more air to the fire and burns a lot better. You don't have to poke at the logs anymore to position them so they get air to burn. This works great and I highly recommend...
Still on the market for a motor home. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Tiger Motorhomes built by Provan Industries - either from personal experience or from a friend. I was leaning towards a Class B (Roadtrek, Pleasure Way etc.) but recently stumbled across the Tiger. Size wise,...
We are planning on driving our MH and toad to the area and meeting our kids from MT and WA. We'd like to find a condo/house to rent where we can park the MH and possibly use it when we're there. All we need is electrical and a fairly flat driveway or such. Anyone have any ideas or advice for us. We're planni...
Well, just used our new Good Sam RV Pilot Flying J credit card at a local Flying J here in Ohio. As those traveling through Ohio may know, Flying J's here have both a cash and a credit price on diesel. With the new card, you get the discount price off of the cash price so all said, instead of paying $4.19 per ga...
I recently got a a Galaxy notebook and want to connect to my internet connection. I am using Millenicom and have a USB760. I have read some on Cradlepoint and MoFi routers but not sure what to purchase. Does the 3g or 4g make a difference in what to buy? Should I contact and purchase from Millenicom? ...
I saw several topics about attending some type of church services while on the road. We plan to get involved in projects via Habitat for Humanity and attend church services on Sundays; however, how do those of you who attend church or are engaged in some type of church community on a long-term when tra...
We are Brian and Sharon Jones. I have been reading Howard's and Linda's journal as well as this forum for quite sometime now. We love hearing about others adventures and the fulltime lifestyle. Over the last few months we have made the decision to go fulltime. We are planning on selling our 2 year old dr...
I don't know if the housing market is improving or if we just got lucky. We listed the house for sale on Saturday and on Monday we had an offer. We countered with just a couple of minor adjustments and this morning the buyers accepted! And it's a good offer! Cash with no contingencies except the norma...

Someone told me that the if you have a motorhome that is more than 10 years old, some parks don't let you in. Is this so. Seems unreal to me and can't imagine the reason for it. Does anyone know. Thanks.
For those of you with a Fifth wheel, how do you store extra gasoline for your Generator? We have a Honda EUI2000 and of course we need gas for our chain saw for cutting fire wood. The obvious would be to store it in the back of the truck bed, but was wondering what others do?
Found this link in another forum, (hope it's ok to post here?) I thought it might be worthwhile for anyone new or not to driving bigger vehicles. Have to admit I wouldn't have known what to do, definitely surprised by the video and the right way to react to a blowout!
