Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Does anyone know if there are tankless water heaters for RVs, and if so do they work... and why aren't they standard equipment if they do? I know that the technology exists for home water heaters (Rinnai for example). They only turn on when you turn on the hot water, and you have a limitless supply of hot w...
Howard, I am so glad to read you toured the Dynamax Trilogy at the North Carolina show! As you must know, there has been a great deal of discussion on this board about the Dynamax Trilogy. It is actually one of our absolute FAVS! Would you be so kind as to post YOUR thoughts on this particular fifth whe...

Just want some opinions from the Rally old timers. I'm sort of an organic health foody myself, and I'm personally a little concerned about getting good food and supplements on the road. So, I was thinking, maybe I could get a wholesale account from a vitamin company, maybe get some wholesale dried or...
Hi, my name is Sherri. I've been here before and have been dreaming since. I am about a year and a half away from RV'ing and sometimes get pretty discouraged but I'm sure going to do it. I'm not sure how some solo rv'ers make it financially but I am certainly going to give it a good shot. I have a home that I now...
I want to install a Onan Generator but my generator compartment is too small. I want to modify one of my storage compartments so the generator can go in there and would like to know what needs to be done to a storage compartment that would make it compatible with a generator.
I have no doubt we are destined to full time. We have discussed and researched the lifesyle for the last 6 months, and we are all about it. We have purchased a rig (bus conversion 1975 GMC 4905A DD 8V71), and now we are in that weird transition stage. My question is...What was your anxiety, worry, fear...
I posted this on another forum where I'm sure it will raise a rukus... Alright this is an all in one thread... First, Is there any issue renewing a passport with a SD address? Second, I currently have a CCP, concealed carry permit, issued by the state of NC. When it comes time to renew, what is the process i...
There's a lot of controversy these days about smart meters and I am wondering, if the place where you are parked and plugged into has smart meters, is there any thing you might do to block it? RV's are 1/2 DC and not even on shore AC, so I'm thinking, the evil of smart meters might be diminished, but do any o...
Forgive me if this topic has been forged already. We will be traveling with our bikes and the 'jello plan' is to park the RV and do some side trips on the bikes every now and then for say two or three nights. We see ourselves renting space at a Storage Unit to leave the truck and RV while we are out and about. Is...
we are with AT&T and I called and activated the tethering feature but aside from that their instructions for using it are pretty limited unless you call their IT department and frankly I am getting a little frustrated. I have plugged in the phone to a USB port on my laptop (windows 7) but then nothin...
I (Carol) just started my new workamping gig this week in Mission, TX. I'm the new Sales Consultant at Bentsen Palm Development. It's a bit more like a "real" job than many of you are interested in, but it's great for me right now since I'm not able to retire yet and we want to get a new RV! We LO...
We are now just months away from going full time... We are searching for our truck and 5th Wheel at this time. We have been advised many times by dealers that if we buy a 5th Wheel over 30 feet we may have a hard time getting into most parks. Is this a real concern? We are planning on buying a 5th Wheel that i...
Howard, my husband and I are preparing for full timing. At this time we are getting ready to purchase our truck and 5th wheel. Many of the RV dealers are telling us that if we buy anything over 30 feet we will have a hard time finding parks to accomodate. We are looking a several that are 39' total length...
We found a 2007 Holiday Rambler, 40 ft DP with 16,000 miles, very gently used. Many add ons.... price will be under 130,000.00, which is almost half of the original price... Question is.... is this a good deal???? Are they good motor homes?
Our house has been on the market for 19 weeks now. We thought we had it sold once, only to have they buyers back out. Last night I buried a St. Joseph statue. Let's see what happens! Has anyone else done this??

Hi Everyone, As the title says, I'm thinking of moving out of my apt and buying a livin lite toy hauler. Although higher cost I thought aluminum frame ect would help with concerns rotting wood, mold, leaks etc....and maybe better resale? Is this true or a bunch of hupla? I have a flexible job, I fly...
We are at Sparks Marina and will be starting work on Wednesday. I know there are quite a few Amazon workers here but not sure if any of them are RV-Dream members. Hi all. I'm looking for some bright, portable battery-operated lights that I can easily attach and remove from the side of my 41' Dutch Star. I'd like to position the lights above the back wheels so I can see where they are at night. Once the sun sets, I can't see anything back there! While I try not to dri...
Hi every one, working towards full but will need jobs. I was a park ranger fo many years and have experience running a camp ground. My wife and I are a great team and we love meeting and helping people. With that said we are a little nervous. I need experienced feedback. Thanks Evan
Well we've managed to consolidate all the items in our extra freezer and fridge into our primary fridge in the kitchen in our S&B home. That was a big first step for us, we've had an extra freezer in the garage for all the shopping at Sam's, buying meat when it's on sale, etc. Then we had a smaller fri...
Looking for some opinions on tires from all the knowledge out there. I presently have 6 year old Michelin 275-80-R22.5 and am looking for replacement of all 6 tires. Hate to do it because of only 20,000 miles and they look great but worried about age. I have heard that the Handcooks are a good tire but mad...
