Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Welcome to the forum, one of the frendliest places on the net. This coming from another Michigander to another. Ask questions, make commments, join right right in. As stated on here many times, the only DUMB question is the one that is not asked. So welcome to you and yours.

DW wish we could join you on the trip, but have other commitments at this time.

Welcome to the forum............I am sure that you will find a travel partner even if you pull out alone.........so many head up that way at that time of year

The nice part of RVing is the friends you meet along the way!!!!!!

If you don't find anyone on RV-Dreams I know many are posting on the Escapee's forum about going.  In past years RV-Dreamers have joined the Escapees forum, http://www.rvnetwork.com, and then only interacted on the Alaska thread since the forum has a lot more members.  Staying on on the Alaska thread keeps them from having to deal with the "know it alls" and negative types that sometimes respond on the Escapees forum.  The current Alaska thread is under "Travel" as "Alaska - 2013", the link is http://www.rvnetwork.com/index.php?showtopic=102393.

Wayne and Carol,

Welcome to the forums.  It is good to have you as a part of the family.  Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind.  While a lot of answers are in previous posts, we all tend to learn from the different perspectives of differing questioners.

Use the search function in the blue bar above and type in Alaska.  There are some books available that some say are invaluable, one of which is called Mileposts.  There may be others in some of those threads on Alaska travel, and there are a number of folks here that have also made the trip.

We've been to Alaska once, but not as RV'ers, so our perspective is entirely different from those that have traveled the route.

Terry
