Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I have a 2002 Rexas Rexair and when I de winterized ie everthing wemt well except the fresh water tank does not show to habve any water in it. The pump will run and pump water. The water flows when hooked to the city water faucet.  Any ideas on what to check next. It was working fine when we winterized it and put it up for the winter. Any ideas.  Help!!!

some coaches have a separate fill for the tank on the outside........some coaches have a directional valve that allows the fill to go to the tank or city water........if you have a control panel in your sidebox for water connections the valve may be there.....if not look by the pump or normally within 3 feet of the city water conection.......if all else fails follow the line from the fresh water tank towards the city connection.....it will be there.....................keep us informed...good luck

is it just the sensor light that shows it is empty? The pump draws its water from the tank (with the outside water supply not connected/off) and you stated the pump is pumping water then it is logical to assume there is water in the tank.
How did you try filling the tank? Mine takes about 10 minutes (or longer) to fill using the outside fill opening. Did yours take a similar amount of time to fill?
Let us know and we'll try and provide some more help.

Phil

It has the valve mark tank fill or city water I have tried both but to no avail. I has another valve on the oppisite side of the coach but I believe that is for draining the water tank and maybe for winterizing. I had it winterized but a repair place but I guess i did not get the correct instructions for refilling the tank.

turn the valve to tank fill and connect the hose to the unit........what area of the country are you in....depending on outside temps you could have Ice in the line ......bad check valve or stuck.

if you have the valve set at tank fill and the water on go inside and see if the tank is taking on water if it is not you have something blocking the flow.......there is not much between the tank and the hose to stop it

we know its not the city connection check valve if you get water pressure from the hose with the pump off.....is there a bypass located at the pump to allow or shut down the tank........the pump should be in the off mode durring filling

I am in Texas, Lubbock to be exact.I have city water hooked up I will go back out and see if it pumps from the tank. It could be a bad sensor, but it worked fine only 1 month ago.

I turned it on tank fill and turned on the pump and it pumped water real strong. I then turned off the city water supply at the house and in a couple of minutes the water slowed to a trickle and almost quit. So I don't know wheather there is water in the tank or not.

ok ......so now please connect the hose to city.....turn the valve to fill for tank.....DO NOT turn on the pump.....go inside and LOOK at the tank or under in the bay is it taking on water.. if the tank is full it will spill out the overflow under the unit.....if not call your local RV servicer
