Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Introducing myself

We are in our mid 60's.  Living in southwest florida. We are going to sell the house and see the lower 48. (Going to the 50th for 3 weeks in Sept.) No desire now to see the 49th.  Just can not get away enough with a house to take care of and her working part time.

We just bought a Jayco 5th wheel 33.5 RKTS Wheel.  We will take several short learning trips while waiting for the house to sell.

Now we need a truck.  Bought the unit first to know what truck to buy.  Getting Chevy 2500 crew cab, diesel.

We had a VERY small 5th wheel 20 years ago but didn't get to use it enough. Sold it.

We were guest of a couple in their Jayco for a long weekend for 10 years, "94 to '04.  Went tent camping for a week 25 years ago.

Shopped to learn what we wanted/could afford for 2 months.  Considered from Class A to 27 foot travel trailers.

I read/lurked this forum some before buying. I learned that The Chevy/Ford and Class A/C debates will never be resolved, along with several others.

I have much to learn, and hope to get some lessons on this forum.

Welcome to the forum and the fulltime lifestyle.

We like our Jayco (Our 2nd Jayco), it has been pretty much problem free and is holding up well to fulltime use.

Welcome! I'm retired from the "Job" too - up in NY. Currently in Georgia but we're looking to leave here and full time it - hopefully by next summer.

Good luck in your travels!
