Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Bob and Lindy put this at the end of a long thread.I put it on a new topic line in case it might save some someone some money.“For those with a 2003-2007 Ford Fxxx Super Duty truck with the 6.0 liter engine, the following link maybe of interest to you. www.topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/ope...
We are pulling the plug (again) and getting ready to go fulltime (Again). We are looking for a new to us (used) tow vehicle and considering the F450 (rather than the Dodge(s) we love). When I contacted the Wholesalewarranty.com people Howard works with they had no problem quoting a Dodge 3500 dua...
I'm loving my little stackable W/D, but the washer keeps condensation on the door and seal. Is this normal? What did you do with it? I don't want it to mildew.
Having had a few RVs and seeing many, many more both new and used, we are going to go with an aluminum-sided trailer. The three manufacturers that I know of have all been in business for some time, having passed my "test of time" requirement, and produce rather classic/plain interiors/ex...
Not sure where to post this but here we go. Do y'all feel safe boondocking by yourself or do you try to camp with others. What do you look for in a location? Thanks Red
Does any one know the best way to find a good and reliable person to inspect a used RV? I am not completely sure what my budget will be as I research and look for a used RV. I know that I will be looking for either a class C or A between 22 to 26FT.. I am looking to full time solo and be a workamper as I travel. I will k...
Ever since the idea came to me about a month ago to live on the road, I have been consumed! It is my tendency to eat, sleep, and breathe whatever I am interested in at the moment. I came across Howard's Journal a couple of weeks ago, and I had to laugh, because he reminded me of me so much! He said he had &quo...
Hi everyone! Thanks so much for sharing generously! We are wondering about the pros and cons of these two types of kitchen counter designs. Would appreciate some feedback on your experience with them, your preferences and why? Thanks in advance!
I say, "lately," because I found one thread by someone who had done this, but all the pics were deleted. We are considering a pre-owned 5er which has not fireplace. It would be nice to have one, but since this one does not, I was wondering if we can find one to install and how difficult the inst...
HEllo! I have been "lurking" for about a year and decided to make it more "official". My husband and I are both 32 years old and live in New Jersey. We have a mutt named Chloe and are childless by choice. We have both been life-long tent campers, but recently bought a travel trai...
The next item on our checklist is a good generator, we will be boondocking part of the time. I'm thinking of starting with a 2,000 watt Honda or something equivilant, then adding another later. I doubt we will be needing the air conditioner until next summer. Any suggestions or advice?
Hi everyone! We are newbies that are considering full-timing in the very near future....possibly 2014. We have been shopping used and new and actually, our heads are spinning....especially after we attended our first RV show yesterday in Atlanta. We do not know what 5er would be suitable for ful...

We have a Ram 2500 Turbo Diesel truck that we bought with our future plans of buying a fifth wheel RV in mind. We've driven to every dealership within a 150 mile radius to look at various models and manufacturers. Being novices we've also read online everything that we could find on choosing the right RV...
Apparently, my model of 2004 Fleetwood Fiesta Workhorse Chassis had some sort of issues with steering, like it wants to wander. I looked for any recalls, didn't find any for that issue, but I did find posts on other forums about steering stabilizers, rear sway bars, getting new shocks, etc. So, opini...
We closed on loft/bldg today! What a wild 2 months! We live in a small community in the Ozarks and apparently the first bldg owner to sell a remodeled bldg with commercial rental space and owner occupied loft. Lordy, what a LONG 2 months it has been ! Closing took 1.40 hours! A true lesson in patience, but...

I have a Hydro Flame FA-7225 that isn't really responding to any input. It's in a 1976 Dodge Brougham motorhome that I recently purchased and don't know the last time it was used. The propane stove and oven work great. When I move the thermostat i hear a click in the heater. Should the fan motor be turning...
Well we've sold some of our furniture and replaced it with less and lighter/smaller furniture, completed another round of purging and think we finally have everything we want to keep in either the F450 or the 5'ver. I'm sure the campgrounds we've been through were wondering why we kept filling up t...
Does anyone here own one, or have any info on this? I have googled and cannot find a floor plan or much info. All the info that I could get, is that the dry weight is 13,400 and gross is 17,500. I also cannot find a NADA value on it either. It keeps pulling up a 2007 but not a 2008. On the DRV website, I did not s...
On our return trip from Alaska I noticed that one of our 19 month old tires beside the door was wearing on the outside so when we arrived in Whitehorse Yukon I had it switched with the spare. By the time we arrived in Prince George BC the tire behind the one I changed over was wearing badly on both outer edges...

Hello, Hubby is a computer gamer and although he really wants to do this FT thing, he also wants his computer games. I have really nice cookware, that are all stainless steel and heavy gauge. Most of the bottoms are larger than the small burners on the fifth wheel stoves.
