Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
So, we thought we would try this for an enroute stop between SoCal and Phoenix. However, due to a couple of unplanned stops we got here after dark. Found a spot that seemed easy enough to pull off the road and set up for one night. We saw several areas where one or two or more rigs were already parked and...
I have been lurking for about a year. I am thinking of going fulltime in about 5 years. As it draws closer, I am sure I will have tons of questions. I am glad I have some place to ask them.
So after having the house on the market with FSBO since May and very little activity, we made the decision 2 weeks ago to list with a realtor. We interviewed 3 realtors and one really stood out above the others with her progressive marketing approach. Had our first open house today, 12-1 pm, and 7 coup...
Hi my name Betty and my husband is Jim. WE will close on our house on Friday and will pick up our fifth wheel as soon as the funds are released. I started reading this site about a year ago and got the bug. Where the" hope not too late" comes from the fact I am 72 and my husband is 76. we have traveled...
What is the going rate for dealers to deliver an RV? Do they charge for one way or two ways? Is there an independent delivery service that may be less? Thank for your help!
We are looking to move when we retire in a few years. We want someplace warm and the Tucson area struck us (Casa Grande) We'd love to find a nice RV Resort that has park models where we could purchase a used one. Any suggestions on where to start? Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone out there thinks there might be an interest in a RN who could provide health care services to other full timers on a fee for service basis? I thinking healthcare advocate, assistance with activities of daily living for full timersrecovering from illness, etc.
Has anyone ever bought from a La Mesa RV dealership? We have been given some strange terms and dealer charges by our salesman so we are wondering how others have experienced them. -- Edited by two 4 the road on Wednesday 30th of October 2013 08:15:58 PM

Good morning all! I have a question for everyone. I live in Tennessee and have Fibromyalgia, which, in the wintertime, has become almost crippling. Hubby retires in 4 years and what we would like to do is sell our house and 5th wheel and buy a Class A. We'd love to buy an rv lot somewhere in the southwe...
This will be our first RV purchase....a MS fifth wheel, if we like what we see. We will be traveling 6 hours to take a look, hopefully this weekend. This is what the salesman told me. In order for them to hold it for us, there would be a $5,000 non-refundable deposit. We decided to pass on that, since it...
I used to live in Texas for 18 years but am now in SoCal., I really loved TX. and that is part of the reason Tx. looks so appealing to me as a Domicile. Of course it doesn't hurt that they don't have a state income tax, and the Escapees have a way to set it up so that your address makes you a legal resident, and I ha...
Hi, so I've been a non-posting member for two years, but I lurked on the site for even longer than that. Although I've never posted, I feel like I know many of you.You see, I've just never had anything to contribute. I've never owned an RV. I have tent and hammock camped; I frequently hike and kayak. I...

Last fall we tried listing our house for sale by owner. After no interest, we listed with a Realtor in the spring and had several showings and one low ball offer that we refused. Then after no interest for 6 weeks, we had a second showing from a couple that had told pure Realtor in July that they were very...

I have heard and seen that MSs are heavier than most. We do not have a tow vehicle yet, as we wanted to buy the TV to match the 5er. What do you all use or recommend for GVWR of 17,500? Thanks for any input!
Missed checking in on all of you since last May when we began our adventure. For first timers we did great and learned a lot. We spent the past 6 months boondocking at 10,000' in the Utah mountains. No electricity, no water, no cell, tv or radio reception on the mountain. We relied on solar power and g...

Been doing my research and am leaning toward a GMC 3500 Van and a TT (I really like the Open Range). I need room for...
