Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hey All: I was trying to research weather or not if my 1994 Tioga on an E350 chassis had more than one fuel filter? I assume there is at least one for the engine and one for the generator. Anyone know anything about that or where I can look to find out? I read a post somewhere online and someone mentioned ha...
I am thinking of having the generator removed from my RV and possibly changing that area to where a battery bank could reside for my solar. Has anyone done this? Anyone have any opinions? The reason I want to remove the generator is it uses gas from the gas tank which is needed to drive the vehicle. I hav...
I don't know how many of you Military folks are working with USAA, but I really got a shocker this afternoon. This past Feb during the 1st wk of the month, I contacted USAA for the first time in my life, after reading that they only dealt with Vets and current military or their immediate family members...
Hi all. I shed lots of hair when shampooing and with long hair I am worried about the hair going down the drain. I currently have a hair catcher screen that fits on top of the drain cover that came with the RV. This is great at catching the hair but makes for a very slow draining of water. Even worse if I use...
Getting to know our new to us 2007 Allegro Bus 40 QSP. Last compartment on passenger side houses the inverter, electrical connections/fuses and a couple high pressure hydraulic lines run through there. Today one of the hydraulic fittings developed a small leak spreading fluid around the small c...
Hope everyone is ready to enjoy some great Spring weather! We are still in Virginia where it's 37 degrees and raining but at least we are far enough south to miss the flurries today!
I am getting the coach out of the winterized mode this week. We bought our coach(2011 Ventana) last August and had all of the water filters put in new at the time. We only used it 2 or 3 times as we had a busy fall and couldn't seem to get away to use it. When I winterized it I removed all the water filters those...
Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for helping us out, we always come straight here when we need to ask a question. We are having a hard time finding a camper because I am chemically sensitive and all the new and slightly used campers are making me sick. First off we are looking for a 5th wheel BH 200...
Sheesh, second night in a park and all heck broke loose with my Carriage Cameo fifth wheel. First I plugged in and then flipped the breaker thing at the post---50 amp, yup---check. Then I attached the water hose and lifted the pump handle and water shot everywhere at the intake place--I ran to see whe...
Just back from our shakedown run and our top priorities are a GPS made for RVs, and a portable air compressor we can easily use at the campground. I searched first and the compressor information is three years old, and the GPS information is months old with no clear recommendation for a viable unit. So -...
Hi, I would like to replace the bedroom emergency escape window in my motorhome. I have a sliding type now ( not enough room to escape, have always been worried about it ) . I want to replace it with a swing out type. Does anyone know of a reliable installer in the state of Alabama that you would recommen...
So, just got a Wilson Sleek and was checking the QA on the carrier registration page. One of the questions on there was if I move my booster to another location, do I have to notify the carrier and the answer was yes. Once on the road, the answer to this would be an emphatic yes. Is this fluff or something...
We are down to 28 months until we start our full time adventure. We have decided that we will be purchasing (cash) a used Class A DP and we do not want to spend more than $50K. I have been looking on RVTrader.com and craigslist and have seen many that look good to me. Unfortunately we cannot go out and look at...
Due to art shows / work schedules and the need to be connected during the week, we generally have our travel / stays planned out 1-6 months in advance. I know many of you hate doing that, but it's our reality as we are not retired and have work obligations. However, this time was going to be different, we h...

We have owned two pop-ups and one hard sided TT over our 26 year marriage, so are well versed in the vacationing aspects of RVing. Our sons are in or entering college out of state and we have no real ties to the area we live in since we were a military family. Why not put the few nice pieces of furniture and st...
Just saw this post on Reuters New Aluminum Battery For Smart Phones Can Be Charged In A Minute 7500 cycles... a lifetime of recharges. Could this, being sufficiently large enough of a bank, be the future of RV batteries? They only produce half the voltage of Lithium-ion, surely that's a minor detail...

I've been doing a lot of genealogy for both Dave & I and as I look something stands out - - no matter which family it is, from which country, going back 11 generations or more, we seem to be descended from those who moved on over the horizons while their siblings/parents stayed behind. So maybe our d...

In spite of the fact that I am also a Christian, I don't make the rules for the forum, but I am required to use my judgement as to what action to take when a religious topic arises. So, let me give you my guidelines as to how I make my decisions. Of course, if anyone takes offense at my moderating, feel free t...
Hi, I don't remember what link brought me here, but boy am I glad it did. My DH and I are still a ways away from 'Life on the road'. We've got a few years to play with but I need to do extensive first, for me the research is the fun part. Reading through the threads on this forum, I've found I have a lot to research...
We are planning on taking a trip to Maine in late July and early August. Planned on going to the north and working our way down the state. I was talking to a guy today that said there is nothing to see up north and I should just stay to the south. Our "toad" is a motorcycle, so we like to ride the s...
