Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

First don't lose to much money in Vegas. Repairing the Motor Home is expensive enough. You can locate near the water in almost every direction you go. There is a big blue body of water west of you and it is called the Pacific Ocean. We personally enjoy the Oregon and Washington Coast during the spring, summer and early fall, then the water out of the sky requires us to locate elsewhere.

Not counting BOONDOCKING, you will find that living at one destination on the monthly rate is cheaper than the daily rate. This also affords you an opportunity to explore the area, relax, and to do your quilting.

My wife and I enjoy seeing the USA, so do not stay in one place longer than a month, unless you may be workkamping, enjoying the company, or still have more things to do and see.

Packing everything may be a problem, packing necessisities is what you should be doing. I have seen many RVers (Fulltimers) take pots and pans and other household goods all the way to Alaska and back, and not use these items one time. Take what you need, not everything you own. Just remember to pack the mostly used items where there is easy access too and items you will need occasionally, in the back.

Good Luck and enjoy your lifestyle and don't leave the Hubby Home and pack him in the front, because he maybe needed.

Welcome to the forum JC!

Whew! It must be hot in Vegas right now! smile

If you get to the Midwest or the Eastern part of the US, you may want to check out the Corps of Engineers parks. There are some of them in the West also, and most of them are located on the water, and as a bonus, If you're a Senior, you can stay there at 1/2 price. You can check out their web site at www.usace.army.mil/

Good luck in your travels
