Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I posted this on another forum this morning and would like to receive input from the RV-Dreams family. As someone who still has a September of 2009 goal in view as the time to begin living the full-time dream, I would like to hear from others regarding several issues: 1. Do you think climbing fuel prices...
Has anyone used Good Sams RV Insurance? Read up on it some but I know they are going to tell you all the good "Stuff" about it. Now I want to know if any of our family here has used it and what the real story is. It is suppose to pay good on your repairs and so forth. Any light you can shed on this subjec...

We are in the process of buying a Big Horn 3600RL by Heartland. Fit and finish seems very good. We are at the point of going in the very near future and bring it home. Comments would be welcome. We thought we could live without having a 5th wheel but we just aren't going to spend another winter...
We have been planning our "dream trip" for the past year. Started out with three couples (beside ourselve), for numerous reasons all have dropped out of the trip! Still want to make the trip (May-Aug) and was wondering if this is a good idea. We are traveling in a 40' Teton 5er, pulled with a...
This is posted in hope that a few of the electrical gurus will help. We have a DOA WFCO WF-8855 Converter with 3 stage charger. Our set up includes 4 6volt Trojan T125's in Series/Paralell, and we also have a Xantrex 2000 watt inverter with 3 stage charger. Right now we are keeping the batteries up to ch...
The son of elderly parents in New Jersey has asked for help thru another forum in iRV2.com. His parents bought a "new" 34' Four Winds Hurricane motorhome from a Four Winds dealership near the coast in New Jersey. They hadn't driven it until recently. Now, a year later, they discover the...

Try entering rockymountainroads.c...
Being a child of Depression Era parents I always heard stories of the good work of the CCC (and Mr Roosevelt). The work they did and the stories behind that work have always fascinated me. When thinking of travel, I'd like to visit many of those sites. Does anyone know of a site which lists historic CCC...
Dave Baleria was not a member of this forum but anyone who has gone to Life on Wheels or a Gypsy Journal Rally or was interested in RV parking at Elks lodges, Moose lodges, Eagles lodges, Thousand Trails or Western Horizons Resorts would know the man. He and his wife Sandy put on seminars and sold persona...
Went to the RV show here in Dallas and did not see anything that had the WOW factor. So many brands were not there for whatever the reason. There were all kinds of MH with the casino decor if you know what I mean. I guess I will keep my rig for now until something comes along that I can't live without. The Ceda...
hello everyone I haven't been on the site for some time-really busy-getting our home ready for the market-wish I could keep it but still having a mortgage on it does not make it feasible-I must be stressed over our decision to go fulltime-I don't sleep very well and always planning-also wondering if t...
I have a almost new Gulf Stream Ultra, 31 Foot Class C with 5500 Miles. It has two slides and is still under full factory warranty till 11/07. It has the V-10 Ford Eng. I will sell it for $47,000 or would consider a trade + cash (me paying the cash) on a late, low milage Class A. -- Edited by Jay and Fay at 09:5...
Well, after several years of research we (husband Lee and I Loralie) just put a hold on a used 5th wheel and truck. We are planning on going full time next winter, but this set came up and we decided to grab it! However, we are in De and it is in Arizona. So we are going out there in March to get it and drive it...
Hi all! We are going to Tucson to pick up a 5er and truck in March. (I"m so excited!!!) However, we will have to bust it back here to Delaware as I have to go back to work. Can anyone suggest easy in and out campgrounds along Interstate 20 through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama? Thanks an...
We will be near Tampa for a rally in Nov. 2008 at LazyDays. They have a 14-day max. stay; then out 7 days and back 14, etc. While we probably could deal with this restriction, a bigger problem is we need to be able to park the coach when we go on a cruise. LazyDays requires the coach be occupied while on...
Anybody heading to The Rally 2008 in Perry GA?? We will be there.....arriving on 3/13 and leaving on 3/18. Would love to meet up with some of the RV-Dreams people.....
Anyone have an electric cook top? How much more Electricity does it use? If you are paying for your electric do you see an increase with this type of stove top? I have noticed that they are starting to put those in so many rigs now. Don't know if I really need it or just stay with the gas. Joe
We are thinking about spending some time at Christmas this year in San Antonio. Does anyone have a CG that they would recommend? Planning to stay a week or 10 days.
Hi everyone, whats your opinon on class C, best bang for the buck. I dont mind spending for Quality. fFigured i would start with C with a couple slide outs to get extra room.
Our blog is intended to better inform the RV buyer when making a purchase. Fortunately, Four Winds provided us with the resources we needed when we purchased our Class C to illustrate potential issues you can have with an RV. www.rvfactor.blogspot.com Denny -- Edited by Denny at 11:00, 2008-02-2...
Have of you, who have Suburban gas ovens, had problems with these ovens? We have had ours worked on twice and now will be going in for the third time. It is extremely difficult to light and and then goes out completely in the middle of baking. We are so frustrated with it, we are ready to have it ripped out.

We are going to be traveling in an F250 pickup truck towing a 5th wheel from DE to MS - taking 3 days to get there.
