Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Campgrounds Near Tampa

We will be near Tampa for a rally in Nov. 2008 at LazyDays.  They have a 14-day max. stay; then out 7 days and back 14, etc.  While we probably could deal with this restriction, a bigger problem is we need to be able to park the coach when we go on a cruise.  LazyDays requires the coach be occupied while on a site.
We'd love to hear any recommendations for CG's in the Tampa area.  If we could locate reasonable (price) CG's, we'd spend more time on the Gulf Coast side.  We like Sarasota area too.  (I know 'reasonable' and 'Florida' are probably mutually exclusive; so, we're somewhat prepared for the high costs).
Thank you very much for any input.

Frog Creek Campground is in Palmetto, FL and rather reasonable when you think of other Florida campgrounds. We stayed there in 2005 and 2006 and were very happy with it. Lots of activities and a good group of folks. Dave & Jan are the managers. Tell them Randy & Terry sent you. Here is their website: http://www.frogcreekrv.com/

Good luck!

Check out Southern Aire RV Resort which is in Thonotosassa, about 4 or 5 miles  North of LazyDays. They have some very good Monthly rates (for Florida), but I don't know about leaving your RV for awhile. Their Phone # is 813-986-1596.

We've stayed there 3 or 4 times and it's a pretty nice park.
