Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
All of us have given much thought and done tons of research before we purchased our RV's. Unfortunately, there is always something we've had to compromise on, a sofa, a bathroom, a floorplan that is close to what we'd really like but it's just not available.
If you could for a moment drea...
We don't understand the concept: refrigerators running on propane. How does that work? we underdstand electricity, battery power, solar power, genertor. But propane throws us. How does that work? Thanks! Randy and Pam
We will be staying around Jackson, WY this summer for about a week and, in the process of checking out available campgrounds, we are experiencing campsite sticker shock. So, we were just wondering....what's the MOST $'s you've ever paid for a full hook-up, pull-through campsite in a private camp...
Hi everyone. I'm wondering if there is any one place online we can go to to look for information on RV recalls? Do the manufacturer's websites have this information available? As we begin to look at possible models for our home on wheels, particularly older models, we're concerned about making sure w...
I am wanting to live in an RV in order to simplify my lifestyle and downsize my expenses. I've been to several RV shows and I can get a 30 footer for $30,000 with a flat screen tv in it and plenty of room for a single person. Less to maintain, less electric bill. But, since there are no RV parks close to Jackson...
We are planning to boondock for the first time next weekend. Do you have any suggestions for us? We might be forgetting something important. Cooking, clean up.
What about you? Do you have a least favorite campgroung you must frequent? Tell us about it. Maybe we will feel better. This is our least favorite campground. We are at the sticks and bricks again and the trailer is parked outside. We stay here as little as possible but we are still tethered to the pro...
If you are thinking about having an out-of-state L.L.C. formed, in order to reduce taxes and registration fees on your RV, please be careful and check your local state laws to be sure you will not be violating them. We had an out-of-state L.L.C. formed in order to reduce our taxes and fees on our RV and no...
I was hoping for a little feedback. I designed and am currently marketing this product to campers, hunters, fisherment, outfitters, lodges and bikers. I was wondering how well this product might work for you RVers. Any suggestions please? Anything you would like to see changed? Its mostly a ha...
As part of our Alaska adventure we're camping (real camping, in a tent) for three days with the bears. We'll need to board our two cats somewhere in Anchorage while we're away. Does any one have a good recommendation for a veterinarian in the Anchorage, preferably one who is open on Sundays because we'...
We have a 2006 Cardinal 36TS for sale. Like new condition. King bed, twin refrigerator/freezers, two air conditioners, two furnaces. 39 1/2 feet long. Three slides, one being a double slide; heat strip; all storage compartments heated; all holding tanks have heat pads. Will send pictures upon re...
In our past motor homes we have had bicycle carriers going into the tow bar and only lost our bikes once in the Yukon when we stopped for breakfast and backed into the spot up to some woods and got out to go the restraunt. On returning we got Tigger his treat and walked him and and got back in the rig and nev...

We want to learn Spanish. Has anyone out there had any experience with any of the Spanish courses like Rocket or Rosetta Stone? We would appreciate recommendations with pros and cons.
In our toy hauler, I'd like to replace the standard furnace thermostat (it has the little slider lever that you slide up or down to set the temp) with a digital thermostat. Can you put the same digital thermostat that you use in a sticks n brix, in an RV? Or is there something "special" about...
for those who have this emailed to them, are you getting them? I've not gotten one for days and had to catch up online yesterday morning. then last night I got one dated the 13th. Linda
With the housing market and some other considerations we have decided that we will not be going full time at this time. So... we are putting our tow vehicle on the market. For sale is a new 2008 F-450 Diesel truck. This truck is a King Ranch crew cab, 4 wheel drive, duel rear wheels, 4.88 rear end with th...
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful sharing of information on the posts. Have any of you driven the Natchez Trace Parkway in your RV's? We have a 40 ft. motorhome, towing a Jeep....so, almost 60 ft. long and a height clearance requirement of 13' 1". Thank you for any first-hand experiences....

We have always wanted to go see the Polar Bears on Hudson Bay. The caravan tours are very expensive and we wonder if any of you have tackled this adventure without the benefit of a commercial caravan company? Thank you for any comments, tips, etc.
Repeating this item posted in another thread in it's own topic... Some time ago in another thread we talked about using a WiFi enabled TiVo to update itself through a MotoSat WiFi internet setup. I finally got around to running the test to confirm my prior experience. The answer is positively YES. I ju...
Just for fun!! For you Google Earth fans here are the Google Earth files for both the Delicate Arch (3.2 miles RT) hike and the Devils Garden (7.8 miles loop) hike. These are actual GPS tracks that I recorded when I was there a few years back. If you "fly" these tracks you will almost think you...
