Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

If you could add one special item to your RV, what would it be?

All of us have given much thought and done tons of research before we purchased our RV's.  Unfortunately, there is always something we've had to compromise on, a sofa, a bathroom, a floorplan that is close to what we'd really like but it's just not available.

If you could for a moment dream of what that special item would be to make your RV absolutely perfect, what would it be?

I'm dreaming of several items, but the one I'd like most would be an in-motion satellite system.   We've two great grandkids (and another on the way, ETA April 07) and are looking forward to traveling with them.  It would be nice to have some kids channels available on the TV for them to break up some of the long rides we'll be doing.

I'd like to have available news and weather channels as well, plus my bonnie bride could keep up with her favorited programs.

So what's your special item?

How about one of these? Spa2Go by Nova Companies
Think it might be close to your bubble bath albeit al fresco???

Folds to a box 20" x 20" x 24" (Not too much larger than the "Howard" air compressor).

Hi,

The only things I'd change are - air ride seats for the truck and Mor ryde I/S suspension for the trailer.

The truck is fine when we're towing with the additional 3000# of pin weight, but is jarring when we're just riding around town sightseeing or shopping. And the upgraded suspension for the trailer might reduce the displaced items we find after traveling our well maintained highways.

That spa is tempting - we've had hot tubs in our last two houses and miss them, especially on this colder than usual weather we've been having.

WOW, that is a hard decision. A motosat datastorm would be a fine addition but so would disc brakes on the RV. Wouldn't mind adding a couple more solar panels and a wind generator. Decisions decisions....................

WHOA...I'm right on track with you Judy....when/if we go fulltiming...I'll really miss my evening bubble baths.  I don't think a jet tub is going to be something we find in motorhomes in our price range though.  The portable spa is cute...but I think I'd feel like a kid when our pool was a galvanized wash tub filled by my Grandmother!!!

We haven't started fulltiming yet, but I believe my wife and I will miss the swimming pool and deck that I built in our back yard. We spend about all summer evenings in the pool, cooking and relaxing on the deck, watching the many humming birds playing around the feeders and flowers. ..............................  Don and Cheryl

I am sure many of miss "those things that we used to have" but how about spending the time in warmer climate where you can use a pool and spa the yr round at many of the pks and have those humming birds coming to your window to feed!!  Use planters for your flowers...lots of those shepard hooks will hold hanging plants. I have also seen tomatoes growing in pots.

Thought I'd give an update to this old old post...

Was browsing a Big Lots store the other day only to discover they are now selling a portable hot tub similar to the one mentioned above
 modelspa.jpg
and at Big Lots it's only $479! It's nearly the same 250 gal tub with heater and filter. I saw it at a Big Lots in Indiana and a friend told me about it when they saw it in a North Carolina Big Lots store. Compare that to the Spa2Go spa above at some $700!

I bet it'll be on sale in a few more months and that would make it a super real bargain! I might have to "take the plunge" then!

BiG Lots now that will be something to look for everytime I pass a Big Lot Store!!
I would also add solar panels, a 4 wheel drive Jeep Wrangler, Data storm, and I could go on and on!!

It never ends - I would add disc brakes, leveling system, and inverter. All it takes is money, but I got to use that for diesel fuel, health insurance, and food. Not much left after that.

Well, I got my one thing, the In-Motion Sat Dome and it has been a WINNER!  The grandkids love it as do the kids and most importantly, my bonnie bride.

Now, on to the next big wish, solar panels and extra batteries...MORE POWER!

Owning an RV is like being on crack, you can never get enough of things to make it even better! wink

Best Regards!

I would like to have an Automatic Diesel regeneration unit with inline refuel on demand switch. And maybe one of them pocket "Beam me up Scotty transporters".

Let me see, I will have to think for a moment about this one.

I think a Data Storm link for internet access would be nice and High Definition TV's. Of course free diesel fuel for the rest of my life would be nice too. Winning the lottery would be nice too.

Oh well, I guess we will just have to muck along out here on the road. Not so bad now that I think of it. I could still be working! OOH! That thought made me shudder. smile.gif
