Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We were very fortunate to be able to attend the 2010 RV-Dreams Rally in Myrtle Beach. As a result of the wonderful seminar "Every RVer Needs A Blog" by Geeks On Tour, we learned how to create a blog. We are new to forums and blogs, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
We plan to retire in April 2011. After a trip to Alaska in our Class B Van, we will trade that on a Motorhome for full-timing. We are writing this blog for family and friends. Since the rally, our family has gotten much larger and we wanted to let our RV-Dreams Family know we have started blogging. It won't be everyday, as we both still work full-time, but we will keep you up to date on where we are in realizing our DREAM.
I'm sure the folks here will be waiting to hear about your travels to AK.
Jim

Congratulations on the garage sale. Another step closer. Glad you had a good time at the rally and met lots of new friends. Donna and I will be following your blog up to Alaska and back. We'll be following in your tire tracks in a couple years. I've set my retirement date for Aug 1st with my employer so we're headed to the southwest after that. It will be nice to not worry about the phone and internet and moving only on the weekends like we've done the last 2 and a half years. Keep writing and posting those pictures.
Lance, Good to hear you have set a retirement date. Something about having a target date that makes it more real. Hope to cross paths with both of you in the future.
We've had a couple of yard sales and sold a lot. We also have a rule that what goes out to the sale doesn't come back in the house. It gets donated or thrown away. We have our next sale in a couple of weeks. It seems that the more we get rid of the more we find. We still have a little over a year but I know the time will fly and we will be scrambling at the end.
