Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
The house was on the market for 80 days. During that time, we got several lowball offers, offers with contingencies, etc. We rejected all of those & held out for a decent offer which finally came. So today the deal closed & we are officially "houseless". We have a "rent back" agreement with the buyers, so we will still be in our home for a couple of weeks as we dispose of nearly all our wordly possessions.
In about a week, we'll be getting a 2008 Mobile Suites 38RLSB3. I'm in a bit of a panic wondering how I'm going to do everything that has to be done! I'm hoping that by the time we move out, I'll still have a few strands of hair left on my head that I haven't pulled out!
Congrats, We are right there with you. House will close in 2 weeks, having a garage sale tomorrow and purging like crazy. We got our rig a few weeks ago and have stayed in it 3 times. We are anxious to get back to it. Good luck and keep us posted
I'll tell you, what with taking 3 years to sell our home, I really ought to be peeved with those that sell in a few months. But, since you will be a fellow Suites owner, I could never be aggravated.
Besides, we've actually enjoyed living in a smaller environment. Here is hoping that everyone else that is downsizing to live the RV dreams will enjoy it as well.
As for the hair, if you lose it all, I hear Walmart sells some fairly inexpensive hats. Look at it this way.....you certainly now have a good incentive to get things done.
Congratulations on the sale of the house and good luck with everything.
Terry
PS: For all of you that aren't getting a Suites, if you've sold in a short period of time, I'm not aggravated with you either.

It is quite amazing that we sold the house in only 80 days, for only a tiny amount less than what we were asking. I have several friends here in my neighborhood that have had their homes for sale for a year or more. So I'm counting my blessings in that regard. And I hope we get to meet eventually, so I'm glad you're not mad at me!
In reality, I pretty much get along with everyone and while I might occasionally get jealous, I never really get mad.
In a way, it is too bad the timing may be wrong for you, but there is a SOITC (Suites Owners International Travel Club) regional rally in Grove, Oklahoma in the middle of next month. Our first one was last year in Carthage, Missouri and we had a lot of fun meeting other Suites owners.
In case you haven't found SOITC's website, there is a lot of information there that comes directly from owners and their experiences with their Suites. While they require that you own a Suites before you can become a member, even potential owners are welcomed on their forums.
Enjoy the new life and with luck we'll meet one day. Our plans to take our MS to Colorado Springs has changed. We'll be staying with relatives in Canon City instead, saving us a bunch of money so we can go to the regional rally.
Terry

Congratulations! I'm sure everything will go just fine. We had our first "looker" on Monday; hopefully we'll hear something by next week. Keeping fingers crossed that it will go quickly as well.
