Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Thank You Terry and Jo

Thanks for posting a ton of pictures on your photobucket site.  I just spent about an hour poking through all the pics you have up on there.  All sorts of ideas!!!

You are welcome, Jim.

However, it is becoming a bit unorganized for really good browsing of the photos.  I originally started the Photobucket account so that I could use it as a "hosting" site to share photos with others.  In the "Our New Home" folder, I also posted a number of photos of sinks, showers, and other miscellaneous photos to link folks to.

Now, that folder is unorganized and I really need to clean it up.  But, if I move any out of where they are, then anyone wanting to see one of those links will not be able to see the photos because the "path" will be broken.  I guess I need to find a way to organize things without destroying the paths of links.  Eventually, I want to switch over to Smugmug so my good photos will be protected from thieves.

I know of a case where one gentleman's photo was "stolen" off of the internet and entered into a photo contest.  The thief won the photo contest and would have gotten away with it, but a friend of the original photographer noticed it and informed him.  He contacted the contest organizers to contest the results and the organizers then had to get their prize back from the thief.

I've wrestled internally with the desire to share my photos freely with everyone (as a good Christian probably should), but I'm also in the process of writing a book which will be a photo book with text related to many of the photos.  In that sense, I need to protect my copyrights on the photos.  But, if Smugmug will be much more secure, I could still share without anyone being able to steal the photos.

I just have to break down and spend the money for the Smugmug account.

Terry
