Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Lake Havasu

Any favorites in Lake Havasu out there?

We are in Pahrump now and plan to head towards Lake Havasu next week.

Hello Dave and Diane, Last month we stayed at Lake Havasu State Park next to Windsor Beach. $20.00 per-night. Our favorite site that we were never able to get into was site 10 on the waterfront. (Our Oct. 25th blog shows a picture of this site.) There is water available throughout the park and it has a sani-dump, but no power. Site 10 has water available within reach of a 25' hose. The London Bridge, restaurants/bars, water activities, shops and the ferry to the Casino on the California side of the lake are within walking distance from the park. Just follow the shoreline. It's a 20 minute ferry ride to the Casino and costs $2.00 each for the return trip. We donated...again! If you decide to try it don't follow GPS instructions as it shows the campground in the wrong spot. Follow the highway signs instead. Safe travels and hope to see you guys again some time!

There is also a free BLM dry camping area just north of the airport.

Hello Steve and Diane. We follow your blog and saw where you stayed at the state park. In fact that might just be one stop. In fact space #10 seems to be available for the dates we should be in the area.

And thanks for the info on the BLM Bill. A few days on BLM to average down the average nightly fees might allow us to spend a few days in one of those fancy places they have there LOL!! I think we would like to alternate between the two as we travel.

After our stay in Death Valley we realized how weak our batteries have gotten and dry camping isn't as enjoyable with these darn things. We are now in hunt of some new lifeline batteries so we can certainly plan more boondocking. I have a good tip on ordering some online but I think I will check one more place here in Pahrump and then maybe we will stop in Bullhead City for a few days and check there also.

Just for the record,, we did end up at the Lake Havasu state park in space #10. What a great place. It it wasn't for our battery situation we would stay here the 14 days allowed instead of the 6 we intend on now.
