Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I like interesting breads and for some reason had trouble finding what I wanted in Florida. I read websites and watched YouTube videos on bread making and decided to start with a bread machine. Turned out that my sister-in-law had two bread machines and was using neither. So we pulled both out when v...
Bill and I would like to thank Howard & Linda for a great week at Nevada Treasure! We loved being around all the very excited rally attendees - most of which were first time newbies, and quite a few wanna-be’s! I think there will several joining us on the road from this rally! Looking forward to se...
Hi everyone! My name is Monisha, but my friends call me Mo. I'm a 38-year-old disabled vet and PhD student who is ready to live my RV dreams. There is a lot to tell about myself - like the life I've lived as a woman in the Army and as a veteran - and I don't know where to begin. I saw a different side of com...
We are selling my wife's father's fifthwheel. He passed away last fall and only used this camper for 3 months. He bought it brand new. It is sitting in an RV park in central Minnesota at the moment. Fully loaded and ready for full time use or if you just want a place to come to for the summer, it is ready for th...
We purchased a used 2014 Keystone Outback travel trailer less than a year ago. Previous owners were meticulous with care and maintenance and the trailer was inspected prior to purchase. We drove the trailer from Virginia to North Georgia (home), in December we took it to Florida and then again in M...

Does anyone know if cable TV can be recorded with the Dish Hopper or are the signals different ? We locate in a park for six months that is completely tree covered. Cable is OK but not nearly as good as Dish Satellite HD and I loose the ability to record programs to the Hopper for later viewing. I have to pu...
Hello. I have been following this forum for over a year and have found it very informative. I recently purchased a truck with a hauler bed and all of the locks use the CH751 key. Most of them are compression latches with T- handles. Have any of you with this setup replaced these with those with a unique key...
Really looking for someone to sway our decision (one way or the other) to go full time in a 5er. We are a family of 5, and I travel (200+ hotel nights a year). The kids are 11, 9 and 5. With the oldest and youngest needing to be home schooled due to Autism. Both are extremely functional, but have social quirks...
Does anyone know who paints DRV's? I know they farm it out, just don't know where. Most OEM's that offer full body paint as an option are asking $13,000 or so. This is their marked up price, so not sure how much I could get it for, but guessing in the $10K range. Other than H&L, has anybody else been...
We have spent the last two years trying the major types of work kamping jobs and since we finished the last one I decided to take a stab at comparing them. Please keep in mind these comparisons are based on our very subjective experience and one season in a particular place. Still I think it is interest...
This lot is in a gated development in the North Georgia mountains and close to many activities such as kayaking, tubing, fishing, hunting, fantastic motorcycling roads and sporting clay shooting all within 25 miles. It is a new development with friendly neighbors and quiet surroundings. Full hoo...
Hi everyone, as you can probably guess I'm brand new here. The reason I joined is that I'm in the process (a long one) of deciding what RV my wife and I purchase when I retire in a little over 2 years. I have ruled out a trailer as I am a fairly avid motorcyclist and don't intend on giving up my bike. This lea...
I am new here and new the RV world. We ordered our 5th wheel last month and we pick it up Tuesday. I can't wait. We have a Keystone Montana 3931FB. It is 41.5 ft with 3 slides. We are parking it at a local campground so we can get to know our 5er. This is the first RV for us. We plan on going full time later n...
Howard and Linda changing to a motorhome is not the only change around here. We just bought a park model in Mesa Arizona, which is a manufactured home that fits on an RV lot. Ours has an "Arizona room", which is a fancy way of saying "addition". Total square feet is about 800, so twice what we have in our...

Hello. We are getting ready to retire at the end of July and plan to full-time. We have been watching RV Trader for a couple of years now and have found a 5th wheel that we love in Arizona. Unfortunately, we are in Ohio and cannot get away to go look at it. It is located at Whiskey Mountain RV in Mesa, AZ an...
My wife and I have decided to live fulltime in an RV. I have done extensive research for the past 9 months and we‘re finally ready to give birth to our life changing decision. We quickly decided on a fifth wheel and began our long journey to find the right one. We narrowed the search down to DRV, Luxe, and Ne...
We bought an RV King Radius Cut Sleep Number bed and are in the market for some sheets now. We are not having much luck finding any radius cut sheets. Does anyone have this, or a similar, mattress who could give us some ideas about where we might find some? Or if they just don't exist, ideas to keep the fi...
Looking for suggestions, we want something that is room darkening. Doesn't seem like magna shade or similar would do this ?? Yes, I know I said interior as that's too bright in the morning. Our current system in addition to the built in privacy curtain is room darkening curtains held in place by a varie...
I'm looking closely at a couple of 2018 Ford diesel DRW 4X4 trucks. One has the 3:55 and the other has the 4:10 rear end. The 3:55 specs indicate it will tow up to 27,000 and the 4:10 specs show it will tow up to 31,300 for Gooseneck towing but the specs for 5th wheel hitch rating is limited to 27,000 for bot...
After two years of full time use, our Rhino Hose Flex developed a pin hole leak. It has served us well despite being stepped on a couple times. We cleaned up the dump station and headed off to buy a replacement. I wanted a 15 foot Rhino Extreme, but Camping World only had a 10 foot extension ($35) or 20 foot...
I have always wanted to travel when I retired. I attended a workshop with Howard and Linda in Columbus this year and I was hooked on the idea of RVing. I am brand new. I retire in June. I do not own a RV yet but I am seriously looking at travel trailers I have never driven anything bigger than a Honda fit. ...

After going on 2 years I still haven't found my perfect kitchen appliance setup so thought I would throw it out there to folks since I am all over the place and getting ready for a big pre-Alaska purge. I started with a Crockpot then bought a rice cooker and was given a pressure cooker. Recently I exchan...
