Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hi from central Florida

Well, we're not in central FL right now. We're in Niagara Falls, but we live in central FL.

I've been lurking on here for over a year and finally decided to join. Don't know what took me so long. I feel like I know some of you already, and this truly is a friendly forum, unlike some of the others I've been on. You seem like a caring bunch of folks with a good sense of humor thrown in.

We're contemplating going fulltime "some day". Now is not the time, but I see it in the cards for the future. We got back into RVing about 1 1/2 yrs. ago after being out of it for 15-20 yrs. We love being in our RV and are currently in the middle of a 2-month trip. I would love to be able to wander the US & Canada, but as I said, some day...just not now. I'm doing it vicariously through those of you who are.

A little background on us..we are semi, semi retired, if there is such a thing. Me, a dance teacher & DH a building contractor. We have 2 grown sons who are married, and 1 absolutely adorable 3-yr. old grandson. He loves to go in Pop-E. and G.G.'s bus. We hope to take him for some nice trips when he's a little older.

I'll close for now,but hope to post something from-time-to-time. I'll offer what I can and know I'll get tons of info (and laughs) from all of you.

Welcome!  We were lurkers for a bit too.  We plan on hitting the road next summer.  We have learned SO much from this forum and still are.  There is so much to do in the next several months, selling a business, ranch, vehicles, house stuff etc!  We have it somewhat planned out and so far, so good.  We are looking forward to meeting everyone at next months rally in TN.

Gayle and Gene,

Welcome to being "active" members of the RV Dreams forums.  We are glad that you've decided to register and join the "family."  We look forward to any questions and comments that you may have to add to the dialogue.  For what it's worth, this whole process seems to be a never-ending learning process.

Good luck with it all.

Terry

Welcome aboard. We too live in Central Florida ( Orlando Area) and are semi-retired. For us that means I am retired and am blessed(?) that my wife remains working to help support the lifestyle that I wish to become accustomed to.no

If you are still at the falls be sure to jump on over to Buffalo and go to Anchor Grill on Main St., that is where buffalo chicken wings originated and  they are like none others I have ever experienced.

Glad you enjoyed. Can't wait to take that trip again or perhaps I'll just order some shipped to the sticks and bricks. The shipping is expensive but my taste buds always win out over my wallet. biggrin

Hope to see you on the road in the future.
