Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have about 3-4 weeks to see the lower parts of BC and would love any advice on locations or routes that work well. We're a 32' Class A with toad. In Hope, BC, tonight thinking of going Highway 1 east to Cashe Creek then over to Kamloops and Pentitcton, Okanagan area. The mountains here are majestic jus...

how much would you expect to knock off MSRP for a 25' or 27', and what would you demand for the dealer to throw in??? Thanks in advance for your help. R
Would like to hear your experiences with small, small hybrid campers. I have a 4-cyl truck and have to stay under 3500lbs. Yes, I know I should probably toss the 4-cyl and get a bigger tow vehicle...but it's paid for and I only need a small camper for one. I had a 1992 14' Shadow Cruiser a while back but d...
My husband retires on Jan 1st. 2014. We do NOT intend to be fulltimers, but we do intend to take a long trip next June. We just bought a 2012 Evergreen TT to use. We want or he wants, to travel to Las Vegas in June. We live in Louisiana. WE have not yet joined a travel club, but were wondering when charting a...
Hello all, We just started full time and bought a 2013 Keystone Fuzion 399, it came with a Norcold Refrigerator model number 1210. The fridge worked great the first 3 days of having it, now that we are fully hooked up at a rv park and now the fridge is barley maintaining cold and the freezer is barley hang...
What is the best way to treat a roof from leaking. I have a rubber roof and just had all the seams redone. Someone told me to check the roof every 90 days. What is the best way to keep the seams from cracking. How often should the roof be clean and coated. The travel trailer is 2 1/2 years old. jt
We have been traveling for the last 8 months and our average length of stay in one spot is 6 days. Our longest has been 16 but we normally move every week. But I have found myself looking for a spot down south to sit for a month, maybe 2 and not move. I didn't think that would happen until the 2nd or 3rd year L...
Hi Everyone! Linda & I have been discussing the development of an RV-Dreams Club for over two years now. Well, we have finally decided to do it. Please read my recent Journal entry called The Next Step For RV-Dreams. There you will find details on why we are going to do this, what we hope it will loo...
There's a forest fire at Lake Tahoe, and the smoke has drifted over to Carson City... Looks like Beging Chinese smog, the sun is just an orange orb, can't see the mountains. There are advisories to stay inside, and a few little flakes of soot have floated in. The dog is acting very tired and abnormally me...
Friends, You have been such a help in the past. I apologize if this subject has been covered. . . I tried to search and didn't find my answer. Please point me in the right direction, if the answer is out there! A couple years ago we replaced the flooring in the main living area with Pergo. Looked great,...
ULTIMATE RV PREPPERS, HERE YOU GO!!! I saw a show about this facility on True TV yesterday, 08/21/13. This facility used to be an underground government facility. Since the government now has almost 150 newly finished Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMBs) they are now selling many older facilit...
Connie and are having a preliminary question about changing our F450 to a hauler bed instead of a normal pickup bed…this is in concert with our test this summer/fall of the mountains out west to verify whether or not we want to upgrade to a bigger truck. Our thoughts so far are that the F450 is plenty of tr...
How exciting for those who will tow a heavier fifth wheels. Although I am certain opinions will vary widely, the towing capacity will allow those who are looking to tow 20-23K a much larger buffer. It will be interesting to see Ford's response ... but regardless, an exiting option. http://news.pic...
I have the mountain directory, and it looks like going into Rachel from the north has some long stretches of 3-5% grades. How bad is that? Anyone driven this? I'm driving a 26' Class A.
Hi All, The arm that holds our awning at the base up against the coach has pulled loose. Old rusty screws are the culprit. I have to take them off and somehow find a compound or something that I can use to fill the holes up then rescrew new screws into it. Does that make sense? I'm hoping someone has a sug...
We were looking online for smaller 4 season 5th wheels and came across the Open Range. This is a totally new manufacturer to me and I am wondering if anyone has seen one of these and what they thought of the quality. I do realize that they are not "high-end" and/or luxury but they actually ha...
We have a smaller shopping plaza a couple blocks from our house and we were there. A fifth-wheel pulled in while we were getting groceries with a pontoon boat also in tow. He parked and of the three lanes to park, all one-way, he blocked two of those. I was ticked off that he did this since there were oth...

We have decided we will continue to have a second vehicle due to the amount of "stuff" we need for Dale's art show biz. We need to buy something to aid us in communication as we're going down the road. Cell phones just didn't work well yesterday through the mountains of Montana. We've had w...
Finally FREE FROM CALIFORNIA! I have my RV registered in Nevada, and a Nevada license (all before the California DMV BS has been straightened out). Maybe I should call Cal DMV, to let them know? Anyways, I can hardly believe I am a Nevadan now!
In the winter time I have heard that you should let the faucet run a little so the pipes won't freeze but have also heard that running the faucet can do more harm than good. So which is the best way to go about keeping your pipes from freezing? Let the faucet run a little bit or not.

We have a 2011 F350 dually we bought new. Love the truck. However, what a rough ride. Beats the heck out of me. When towing the rig it calms down a bit. First long trip when we got to our destination all clothes had jumped off the rack and landed on the floor. Another time broke the lid of my cro...

I am so enjoying so many Dreamers blog sites and want to put them on my site (with permission of course) but I can not figure out a s...
I think I have lost my mind. I'm sure others who know me will agree if they hear of what's been going on in my head lately. I am going to try and keep this short but I bet I will fail at that! This situation is a little different from most because at this point, if we were to live full time in an RV, we would not be...
Are there any companies that top the list for extended warranties? I have been shopping for one but I don't want to pay $$$ for a company that may not be in business for the term of my warranty. Speedy...
