Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

My husband retires on Jan 1st. 2014. We do NOT intend to be fulltimers,but we do intend to take a long trip  next June.  We just bought a 2012 Evergreen TT to use.  We want or he wants, to travel to Las Vegas in June. We live in Louisiana. WE have not yet joined a travel club, but were wondering when charting a trip, how do you know which parks to stay away  from and which ones are the ones we may enjoy for 1/2 or maybe even 3 nites.  I guess if I knew which way we were going, I could get some former travelers to just recommend some, but we as of yet, don't know which way we will be going. We probably will know within 2/3 months of our trip, but I want enough time to plan the trip, which highway, etc.  Hubby enjoys watch the World Cup on the super screens at the sports bars in LV> any one recommend a great park for a 1-2 week stay in Vegas.  Thanks so much to whomever runs this great site. I think I have read just about every post on every subject and now I am thoroughly confused, lol.  Patricia K, in La.

There are several places to get RV Park Reviews - www.rvparkreviews.com and www.rvparking.com . Also Googling 'RV Park' and a city name will bring up reviews.

Ditto Technomadia, plus we typically don't make reservations unless it's a holiday or special event. This way you're free to change your plans by a day or two and not be locked in. We usually call the CG the morning of the day we want to stay. We've never had a problem finding a place to stay. Maybe twice we've had to go to CG choice #2 as #1 was full. Have a great trip!!

Agree www.rvparkreviews.com and we usually don't make reservations unless it's a weekend. We generally try to travel during the week and arrive early in the afternoon.

The KOA at Circus Circus is supposed to be very convenient. Very hot, no shade and sun reflects off hotels surrounding it, however is convenient to walk the Strip. Not our kind of place but may suit your needs. If you choose that park use directions on their website on how to get there to avoid getting stuck on the Strip. In fact checking CG's websites for directions is good advice for anywhere you plan to stop.

Ditto Ditto on rvparkreviews also if you google map the area you are going to head to next....you type in 'campgounds' - a lot of time there will be reviews attached to the campgrounds they find

If you have to choose a park without any reviews, You can usually tell how a park is going to be if you drive through the park before choosing to stay there.

We look for well cared for grounds, clean restrooms and laundry, nice pool area, well organized & clean office/store and the long term residents spaces are clean and not covered with junk. These items don't have to be perfect, but you need to see signs the owner/staff care about the place.

We pulled into one park off the highway in Missouri, as soon as I walked into the office I knew it wasn't for us. I've seen offices at junkyards that were cleaner.
