Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Our realtor just called and we are going to have on offer on our house on Monday!!!!! It's been on the market for 14 months. It's a good offer too. I am so excited. We need to decide on an RV now, but YAY!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get started.
We would like to hear of your suggestions on the pros and cons of our two ideas that we've been kicking around and if anyone has traveled this way and can suggest a better way of going about all this. We are currently living in a bus conversion/motorhome and we tow a small cargo trailer (two motorcycles i...
When we leave Gold Canyon near Phoenix on March 1st this winter we'd like to tour central/northern California then head up into Oregon and Washington. Has anyone made this trip? Is this an OK time of year to go? What routes would you recommend we take ..... or avoid? -- Edited by Acorn on Tuesday 29th o...
Hello everyone, I am new here but have been reading the forum for a while. I grew up camping in the Scouts and enjoyed tent camping very much. Well once I got married I found out my wife wasn't as enthusiastic as I was when it came to tent camping. So we compromised on a RV. That way I could be out in the great o...
While reading the Good Sam Club magizine I noticed several ads for law offices in Montana who claim to help buy an RV and avoid paying the sales tax. Since here in Texas it's about 8% I'm interested. Does anyone have any input on this?
Thinking of buying a new fifth wheel. Our budget is small and so far we are considering a cougar or a kingston. Does anyone out there know anything about these two fifth wheels?

Wasn't sure if this should go under hobbies but I don't really consider watching tv a hobby, lol. So.... I'm curious how many here watch college football??? And who are you representing??? Normally I don't follow the college crowd but thought it might be fun to give it a try this year...we'll see if I c...

Hi All, I found this site from another RV forum. DW and I have been weekend and vacation camping in our TT for 3 yrs now and plan to upgrade in the next yr to a larger TT. When we are financially able (8 yrs or so) we plan to become full-timers.
Howard wrote on the 26th "We used our infrared thermometer to learn the new drum was reading over 300 degrees." With the hub that hot the tire pressure must have been very high. Why didn't his Pressure Pro sound an alarm to warn him that he had a problem?
I know, the dreaded topic of dental work...UGH! My questions are for the folks with dentures. If this is too personal to share here on the forum, feel free to private message me...I would appreciate any and all information. I currently have all my teeth however, many have had root canals & crowns...
I would like to do a forum that asks the question: How many ways are there that full-timers gain internet access other than Campground hardwire connections? Especially in remote rural areas and the dangers of wireless to personal and private information. Cooler here in VIRGINIA BEACH. 55 degrees a...

I had an incident the last time out. I turned a sharp corner and the emergency run away brake disengaged NOT from the receptacle but from where I had attached the loop...the plug remained in the receptacle! I re-attached the loop but the 5'er did not feel right as I towed and set up in my campsite. Whe...
I have no financial interest in Walking HotSpot (WHS), but it is a super product that we use and recommend. We travel around to RV rallies as vendors, and reliable Internet access is critical. Our very first rally offered "free WiFi", and we found out just how unreliable that arrangement...
In my search for an RV I found a 1998 Gulf Stream Yellowstone for a price I could afford. Anyone know about the Gulf Stream Yellowstone or have any information that they could share with me? -- Edited by Colorado_Kid on Monday 28th of September 2009 09:33:14 AM
We have a Montana fifth wheel with 2 grey water tanks. There is only one termination valve to dump the grey water. We assumed that both tanks were being dumped but when we check the indicator panel it shows one tank empty and the other full. Are we missing something here? Does anyone have this proble...
Any dreamers worked at Amazon.com in Coffeyville? We have applied and just looking for information on the campgrounds and anything else we need to know...
Does anyone have a preferred route to Arizona from Vancouver starting out in December? Are there specific roads to stay away? I'm thinking that we should stick to the Interstate until well into California but I'm looking for advice. Also any campground suggestions along the route, for this tim...
We were due to retire 9/30 and take off on 10/5. But - on Tuesday results came back on a biopsy Len had taken on his scalp from a sore he has had for a length of time that does not completely heal. He has areas of skin cancer. So, more biopsy's were taken and we will know those results on 9/22. It appears he w...
I want to know the temperature outside the motorhome and wonder if any of you have found an indoor/outdoor thermometer you would recommend? Store and cost information would be helpful. Thank you. And yes, I know, I can always stick my head out the door.
Anyone have any experience with webinars? I tried to participate in one last night and had a lot of trouble. I was using an iMac running OS X 10.5 (Leopard) connected to my network via 54mbp WiFi which in turn connected to a DSL line via a router. The network is not fire-walled, and I gave the application p...
In January we are planning to embark on a 6 month trip in our fifth wheel. We were wondering what options are out there for having our mail forwarded to us. There are a few stops where we plan to be in the same place for a week or two at a time, but for the most part, we will be moving every 2 to 5 days. We're hop...
The more research I do, the more I'm leaning towards a smallish class C and keeping my existing, much beloved Pontiac Vibe. I just can't face trading it in for a pickup. :P I love it and it's my baby and it's paid off and still newish... Is this a realistic thing to think about, or should I be looking at Class...
When I started fulltiming nearly a year ago I bought a small Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner. Needless to say it doesn't clean very well. After workamping this sumer at Lassen Volcanic National Park, my carpet was in horrible condition, made worse by having a dog that sheds a lot. I recently had some dama...
