Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi, my wife and I are ´wannabes´ and we can hardly wait to retire . ( counting the days ) We are dreaming of getting a class A 34' to 40', but there is so much to choose from. That's OK we have time ( 5 years ) to look around ,,,, -- Edited by gauijons on Monday 29th of March 2010 11:07:10 PM-- Edited by gauijo...
I've had my Elite Suites for sale since November and no serious inquiries. Are times so bad that no one is buying? I know it would be darn hard to get a loan but I would think that many are starting out their fulltime adventure and would be in need of a excellent quality fulltime rig. Any future fulltimer in...
I saw an add for NeatDesk scanners on TV today and it seemed like a great way to keep records and reduce the paper around the house or the RV. Has anyone had any experience with these? The URL is http://store.neatco.com/ -- Edited by Merikay on Monday 29th of March 2010 03:57:52 PM
Hi All, Still in the searching phase but curiosity came crawling into my head. Looking recently at two shows along with looking at a few RV Dealers and of course, the internet, I notice that an Induction Cooktop is not an option. While I wouldn't mind the gas cooktop, I like the idea of the induction for...

Yesterday we took our second load of junk to the thrift store. We have started with the sale of our good stuff and have been very s...

Next week our house will have been on the market for a year. It has been an extreme roller coaster of emotions trying to sell this house. It feels as if we are being held hostage by a home we once loved and now just want to be rid of. I keep reminding myself how great it was raising our children in this house...
What do any of you full-timers, who like to fish, do about fishing licenses. Surely you can't budget one for every state you travel to. I know in some states, you can fish on private property without a license, but that would rule out some really great fishing. Just curious what every body does, as both o...
Hi, Everybody i was wondering if anyone out there that tows a Trailer or 5th wheel uses a wind deflecter. I have a f350 and a travel trailer and get about 8 miles a gallon of diesel. Is it worth the $350 - $400 for this item?
As many of you know, Jo and I are waiting for our Mobile Suites fifth wheel. One of the options we elected to get was the GE Advantium Oven, which I think is a convection oven. Jo doesn't feel comfortable getting on forums, and I can't cook (seriously, I can't even fry water), so I am asking a question tha...
Now that our "jump date" is coming in three months, you know what my biggest fear, my biggest "unknown" that I feel? Get ready to giggle... That the Internet access option we choose (probably satellite at this point) is not going to work. Silly, perhaps. It's the one "unk...
Need advice, as usual. We'd really like to get a Frieghtliner or similar tow vehicle, BUT we've heard rumors and can't find anything to substantiate them, that emission control regulations may force very expensive modifications to these trucks sometime in the future. Pretty vague, I know, but a...
So we have made an offer on a 2011 Heartland 3385RL - I feel like we are getting a good price, but how do you know? I know that I have done some research for a while and we are some where 30% off of MSRP but is that the best deal I can get or have I left any on the table. I know that everyone goes through this, eve...

We had our estate sell last week of January and sold most of everything we own. We are now in an apartment getting ready to downsize some more into our current tr...
We have accepted a position with a campground in WI starting August 1! Sounds like a good match and with working there a bit this year we could return next Spring. It is a little earlier than our initial plan of March 2011, but we are comfortable with the date both logistically and emotionally. July wa...

We are talking with a campground in Wisconsin about workamping with a start date of July 1. I repeat....Yikes!!! The phone interview I had today was pleasant and it sounds like it would be a good first start for us. It is not a huge park, with mainly weekenders, so the middle of the week would be fairly...

Man, reading Howard and Lindas journal everyday, all the fun, all the information, and here i am, in New York, grinding it out, getting ready for another long cold winter. I could be sad, or i could just get more motivated to get my list done, hit the road, so we can be at the next rally. G
Wondering if anyone's joined this group? Was looking at their website today (for the millionth time), and it seems that we could find the same information ourselves that they are charging a membership for. I could be flat out wrong. But before I invest money, hoped I could get some opinions from y...
