Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I know I need to purchase a good cell repeaters, but there seem to be a lot of options out there these days. What is everyone using & how do they like it?

I am fairly young at 59 and a few months, but we both decided to retire permently. We are trying to decide if we want to move to a warm climate(we live in Michigan now), or travel and righ...
Ok someone had to get the discussion rolling. We have dry camped for a week at a time without even a generator. Four standard marine RV batteries would do it with a lot of conservation. I use a cpap and on the inverter it demands about 24 amp hours a night so we use 200 amp hours in about 5...
No, sorry. It isn't "Talk Like A Pirate" Day. While I can't remember exactly where it was I posted it, I made mention the other day of seeing an RV that was a converted bus and given a "Nautical" theme with the remodeling within the coach. Today, Jo's sister and her husband and Jo...
I have a question for those of you that have been fulltiming for awhile. When selecting a camp site do you have a minimum width that you'll accept for your rig? In other words are there campsites out there that won't work for say a 5er with 4 or 5 slides? In reading several other forums I've noticed many of y...
Anybody currently have a window garden of some sort? Was just reading an article on "Window Farms". I'm think I might try making a small one in RV kitchen window. I'll let you know how that works out.Window Farms Let RVers Exercise Green Thumb Posted by Ashley Gannon on Aug 06, 2010 Summer ve...
I tried this recipe a few years ago and it instantly became the family favorite for cranberries. We keep some mixed up as long as we can buy cranberries. Not only is it great with turkey and ham, but it's delicious with chips! And for a bonus, it's really easy to make! This is my go to dish when I need t...

We haven't traveled with our unit much at all. A recent trip to Carthage, MO was our first and only experience with a "long term" drive. Oddly enough, when I was checking all the tire pressures prior to the trip, all the sensors were picked up by the monitor in the cab, and I wasn't even hoo...
Hello everyone! We have our fiver home (YAY) and over the next 130 days (kickoff day is March 26 2011) we are preparing and packing! Al has asked me if I would come on the boards and ask for tips on packing the basement. Specifically how do you keep things from toppling over on rough roads or sudden stops? D...

Since we are helping our relatives in researching and looking for an RV for them, Richard has expressed that he would like to have a Class A with a Caterpillar diesel engine. For some reason, I'm wanting to think that I have heard that Caterpillar has gotten out of the "over-the-road" dies...
Hi guy's I am looking to winter on the Texas coast and was wondering if anyone had any information on the Rockport area. Things like hows the weather, wind can you kayak fish, cost of campgrounds, any camping on the beach? My wife loves the beach and I like to fly fish for sea trout and redfish from my kayak...
I have heard of the possibility that one can buy a resale campground memebership into Thoushand Trails and Coast to Coast and others. Has anyone done this? Is there a good benefit to doing this or are there any pitfall$ to be aware of? Are these membership CGs worth the expense? I've also heard that y...
Well, I will be on the road within the next couple weeks. One thing left to do is purchase an extended warranty for my Endevour. So I wanted to ask who everyone uses and the value they get based on cost. I have learned over the years not all warranties are equal and while doing my purchase research most ever...
We are pretty sure we've decided on an RV (details after we actually make an offer). I've read recently that we ought to have a water filter on our rig. Where/how do these fit? Do they just go between the water hose and the fill point?

Well, we got an email last night from Mariette Kammerer who does a weekly radio talk show called "Life Changes With Mariette". We just got off the phone with her and we are going to be on tonight's show talking about our "life change". So, if anyone is interested in listening live, we will be on tonight, T...
Well, we finally (after much research....deals gone bad.....mileage too much for banks) picked up our 2002 F250 Crew Cab Lariat. It's in mint condition and never pulled a thing!! It was a one owner, garage kept, documented service, find! I did it all by myself, since my DH was 2,000 miles away on a t...
Hello. The consumer guide reports that I have state if one has a short bed slide-type hitch, that for safety's sake it should be automatic rather than manual. I wonder what people's thoughts are about this. I have next to no experience with trucks and hitches up to now, so have to go by what I learn. I...
