Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Adventureland Park

Have any of you readers ever worked at Aventureland Park in Des Moines, Iowa.  If so, I would like a review of your thoughts, etc.

Thank you,

Judy

Hi Judy,

Our friends Mark & Sue Didelot, "What A Ride!", worked at Adventureland in 2008.

There is an email link on their blog.

Thanks Howard!  I didn't find a way to contact them on their blog, but I sure did enjoy reading their adventures while in Iowa for the summer of 2008.

Judy

I worked for Adventureland the summer of 2010. I worked as a Games Attendant which pays 7.00 hr. The work is outdoors but in games you are mostly under cover. It can be very hot and humid, which can be a burden. I did sign up to go back again. If you have more ?'s, Call the Human Resources office at 1-800-532-1286/ext. 262 and ask for Gary Pardokeeper. Have him send you an info pack. What is said in the color brochure describes the positions very well. Foods and retail pay only 6.00 hr. and in my opinion hotter and harder. Happy Trails!! Pieere

Thanks Pierre.  If you're going back, it couldn't have been too bad.  I'm asking a lot of questions due to the fact that my husband does have some health problems and I want to be sure it isn't too much for him to handle before we commit.  Maybe we can luck up and get the night shift.

Judy
