Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Mike and I purchased a 2000 Fleetwood Prowler 5th wheel and started living in it 2 weeks ago. The tech at the dealership did our walk through with us and showed us how to do different things. However..... I'm embarrassed to say neither one of us can remember how to turn the water pump on. I've tried pok...
I have decided that I will buy 2 Honda 2000 generators with the parallel kit and a Extended Run Fuel Tank. My only concern is driving my RV with gasoline in the Extended Run Fuel Tank and wanted to know how safe it is or is it legal?

Just found out our work camping job is coming to an early end. The road into our campground has some serious issues which the COE has found some money to deal with so they are vacating the park until it is fixed. Had planned to be here 2 months but instead only 2 weeks. We have considered heading to Arizona,...

I have read the older threads about this, but I'm hoping to get some new information, and share a little as well. We will be full-timing as of June 1, and my employment and health insurance ends May 31. I had gotten the impression from earlier threads that there were options for folks who were truly full...

We just survived (our little dog did) a terrible experience. We stayed at an RV park in FL last night (N. West) and found the place invaded by bees. My husband went to the store to ask for bug spray and they came over (a family member of the owners) and sprayed with pure malathon spray, all over the grass. I...
Hoping to be able to be part of the class of 2013, but my husband and I are not old enough to retire (he's 40 and I'm 38) We know that we'll need to do some kind of work while on the road and with me being an LPN I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of any travel nursing companies that use LPN's. Every one o...

Greetings to all! This is my first attempt at the RV-Dreams forum which I just discovered this morning. Great site! Due to some recent changes (husband was laid off), my husband and I are once again considering full-time motor-homing. We are both 59 years old with no real ties as our children mo...
I NEED help FAST! I'm looking at used class "A's" for under $30K. I was just wondering if less than 12 years old is a good target search. I'm also trying to stay under 50k on miles. But, I found a 2000 35U' Itaska for $22,250 (otd) that has 70K on it. (Current NADA $27,900) It looks like it's in exc...
While having new shocks installed on my 2001 F250 I thought that I would get a front end alignment done also. While we had company down from Kansas, Jo and I stayed in the Mobile Suites while her sister and brother-in-law slept in the house. (Yeah, we are down to minimal furniture in the house.) One evening, we had a few dim-outs of the electric in the house where the lights dimmed out and then came back on. Afte...

My wife and I are looking at getting a Ford F350 dually to tow a Montana 5th wheel. For a lot of you folks it may be a no-brainer but I have zero experience with a diesel engine and all the required maintenance. We plan on being full-timers starting in 2012. Ford offers a 6.2L V8 gas engine that looks like it w...
We are currently in a very humid area and our sinuses have been acting up. Also, during the cooler months when we cook inside the windows condensate. Does anyone have any experience with dehumidifiers in an RV? Saw a NewAir ADS 400 which sounds great for an RV, but does it work?
Well the time is getting near. Starting to list everything not nailed down on Craigslist. Going to have yard sales. Once cleaned out the house will be listed. A little shakie we both want to full time. Question is should we keep enough furniture to move into an apartment in storage for a year or to as a bac...
Mods, feel free to move if this is not in the right area. It doesn't appear I can post a "poll". So I'll just ask "FULL-timers" to respond to the questions: "How many miles are year do you seem to average?" "How long is your average stays in certain 'geograpica...
Not sure if this is the right section to post this question.... He is an independent field technician in the computer field and the contracting companies he w...
