Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello Everyone We have a problem with our motorhome. It is a 2008 Damon Outlaw Toy Carrier and it sprung a leak around the hot water tank. I will repair that but the floor has lifted in several areas. Now I am mechanical but not to good on finishing touches. Should I take this to a dealer or can any good floor...
We just had the Level-Up auto levelling system made by Lippert Components Inc. installed today at TrailAir Service Center in Goshen Indiana. Cannot say enough about Ron McCoy! He is very professional and one of the most polite people we have met in a long time. Ron has been working with this system fr...
In today's sue happy world, I have a problem. We just bought a 16", everything but the kitchen sink on it pizza, from WalMart. Got it back to the RV and found that it won't fit into either the stove or the convection microwave. Should I sue WalMart or the designers of my RV?
I have a question for those of you who are far more educated than I am with doing blogs. Jo sat down this afternoon and began to read what I had posted in the past. One of her comments was that some of my posts have a decent font size and others don't.I know the cause, but I can't figure out a solution for how t...

Hi, everyone. I tried posting this question before but it didn't seem to go through. I just have a question about water and boondocking. I've never boondocked and in this 27 ft. Born Free there's not a lot of tank space for water, potable, grey, whatever. Any advice would be most welcome. Also, i...
I bought a Winnebago Adventurer (2000) that looked great. The owner was not too bright and tried to seal the fiberglass roof with rubber roof sealer. The result was a leak around the shower skylight that ran down the side of the RV (right by the slideout), that has caused the fiberglass to delaminat...
In April 2010 after several years of research and six RVfactory tours, my wife and I bought a new Drv Mobile Suites 38RESB4 and a 2010 Ford F450. Our second choice of the six RVs was a Carriage Carri-Lite. During the factory tours I discussed owners' issues I had read about on the Mobile Suites RV Club...
I believe this forum was literally an answer to prayer! I have been conteplatling getting our 1st RV and hitting the road with our 2 elementary aged children for a few years now. (My wife has recently came around to the idea as well)I really can't remember "where/how" I found the link to "RV Dreams. But...
We're having all the stuff installed to tow our CR-V behind our 37' MH. I've spent time boning up on the tech stuff, max speed, hours between toad starts, key in ignition, supplimental braking, etc, but what I don't know is how the toad affects turning. Does it track behind the MH, or does it cut the turn m...

Our coach depends on the 12 volt system to operate our house lights even when connected to shore power. We are currently connected but have no 12 volt power so no house lights. We have a Xantrex True ChargeRM Converter Part # 810-8012-10. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks, Judy
We put our home on the market last April and got a quick offer which fell apart when a loan could not be secured. There was no other activity so we took the house off the market in October. We decided to try again so we listed the house on March 1, got an offer and today we closed as well as giving possession to...
One of our back windows is dripping onto the bottom track, but it appears the outside seal is dry and intact. Husband is going up on the roof now-any ideas as to how this could be happening? It is like the window is leaking from it's roof track.
While on another forum, I ran across a very good explanation as to the workings of a transmission with the Tow/Haul feature built in. For the benefit of those still learning, that feature changes the shift points in a transmission and also aids in slowing a truck on downhill grades similar to what an e...
We just found out that oe of our slides has some evidence of sag, which has me pretty concerned. Am I right to think this is going to be terribly $$ to correct? I understand without specific it is hard to say, but this has always been something I've worried about-could you give me a range of scenarios?
Hi everyone! We made it! It was a little shaky for awhile, but we left to start our adventure last Sunday. Everything is chaos but we'll get it sorted out. Greeting Everyone: I have a question and I am sure that I am in the right place to get some good advice. I will try to keep my question narrow in scope to help with the answer. In the past all of my travels have been direct, minimum time and back again to go back to work. Now I am trying to plan a trip to the Rally a...

Hi, As we get ready for our first full timing trip, I'm trying to figure out our agenda. (I KNOW, as full timers we should leave the agenda behind! But we have some initial family obligations, then the calendar will be put in the nearest dumpster!) So... if I have to go through El Paso (ugh) is Saturday ok o...

I've seen several posts about replacing RV furniture but not about whether it should be secured. Our original couch was secured with four screws on each corner. The recliner had all four corners of the base screwed down. We've replaced both of the old, nasty things with a new couch and recliner. Th...
I told my employees and coworkers that I would be retiring in June. It was an emotional day. Most people were very happy for us and some just worried about themselves. Overall it went well and I am glad it is done. Kind of scary though -can't turn back now!
