Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

HELP! I have a problem with boxelder bugs and don't know what is safe. They are congregating outside. First pic is of the furnace vent and 2nd is the refrigerator vent. I don't think they can get inside the RV from there, but I'm pretty sure they're getting into the appliances. I'm afraid to use a pestici...
We just purchased a 2015 Winnebago ERA 170C and discovered there is only one seat belt installed for the sofa (side facing and located on the slide out). When we looked at the 2016 it had two seat belts, so we assumed the 2015 would as well. I asked the service manager at the dealer about it and he read on t...
Would like to ask if anyone is familiar with driving U.S. 60 from Springfield, Mo to Paducah, KY? Would you share your impressions of the route, suitable for a big rig (40 ft. motor home, towing a Jeep), high clearance needed (13' 6"). Thank you very much for any information.
We're currently just north of Nogales AZ, at Patagonia Lake. This afternoon as we strolled around the park we met a guy who was trying to get his 3 dogs out for a walk. He blurted out that his buddy had been arrested in Mexico 6 hours ago for having hunting ammunition in his truck at the border crossing, t...
Hello Everyone: I am Lisa... I along with my partner Kelly, we have thought long and now have been artuous to make this happen. Selling the house, selling accumulations, feeling like an exposed hoarder, feeling the tug of the physical on my emotions. Giving possessions a new home. This is hard, but I a...
Hi Everyone, We are Dan and Ruth now living on the Mississippi River in Wisconsin. No kids, no pets and tired of winter. Unless the stock market tanks, we look to retire at the end of April, 2017 and full time for at least a couple of years. We will re-evaluate after that time. If we continue we'll probably...

In the next 12 Months we hope to be full timers. We will be traveling with 3 Dogs. Normally when we leave the house they do not bark. But being in an RV will be an entirely new experience for them. So we will need to start training them to be in the coach and understand when we leave. I would like to hear re...
Ok...so we finally made a decision and on the 25th of April we will take possession of our "new" 1999 Rexhall Aerbus. Not at all what we thought we'd end up with but she's a beauty and very well-maintained. My question is this....we will have to put her in storage for about one month until we get totally o...
Hi guys, has anyone heard of a problem with dometic 'fridge being too cold. Everything in it freezes, even on the lowest setting. This is on AC, have not been able to try on propane yet since I am having some work done on the propane system. Hoping this is a simple fix since my first big trip is to the spring r...
Hello Y'all, I'm not a southerner, but more or less a wannabe after 6 months traveling. So please excuse the Y'all. My wife and I are from Michigan, and believe it or not, there are some michiganders also that say it. I do have to say I have deep affections for the southeast, and I love a good cajun boil. We...
Are any of you all using one of the faith based Medical share plans instead of insurance for your medical needs? If so, what are you experiences with it? (Private message if you prefer) My wife is a diabetic on an insulin pump which I know we will have to foot the bill for her supplies and insulin. With th...

With more and more new coaches installing tiled flooring throughout, hubby and I started wondering with the twisting, bouncing and flexing that goes on with the coaches going down the road how many folks and approximately after what time frame from new are finding that their tiles crack? Our curren...
Okay folks, I have a convection microwave in my brand new RV. We've been full-timing for almost a month now (this is our first RV experience, and we're on the road for a year), and I've tried to make frozen pizza twice now! Both times I used the convection feature. The first time I put the cardboard cir...

My wife and I are in our mid-60's and are about two years away from officially retiring. Our plan is to then start full-time rving for as long as we enjoy it. We will be spending the next two years getting ready. I've been reading many blogs and postings. We have visited a few RV shows. We rented an RV o...
We just returned from FL and three months on shore power. Upon arriving home, I parked the fifth, and it has been sitting now for 10 days. Last night, I checked the battery status and it showed nearly dead so, I plugged up. This morning, the inverter indicates battery has reached 90% charge and will n...
Can you give me some insight into the use of mouse free that you used. Feedback on the product. How often does it have to be applied and is it worth using.
We have been in the hunt for a 5th Wheel/Truck combo. We've seen 5 to 6 and learn something new every time. The first thing we learned is longer is not better. So, we've "down-sized" Mrs LandL's need for space to trailers that are no more than 36' long. Anyway.... We looked at a very nice trailer yesterday...
I am investigating and designing a Solar 600 Watt system. This is new to me but very interesting to research and configure. I have seen two methods in Wiring to get power to the coach from the Solar System. 1. Plug the power cord used for shore power into the Inverter. In this case I would have the adapt...
Two years ago I purchased the Breville 650 based on all the amazing recommendations from all of you. I use it every day And I LOVE it. There is a new model with a slow cooking function and I was wondering if anyone had it? Do you like the slow cooker function? I would love to get rid of my slow cooker like I d...
Looking at the Passport America site and the RV Parks in each state, I notice that there are no ratings or comments about each park. Is there a site where you can look up a park and find out about how good it is or a rating system?
Two years ago, I bought a second hand Gulfstream Ultra Supreme Motorhome, which was imported into Switzerland in 2003. I assume it is a 2001 or 2002 model. Having only 21500 miles on the counter, it runs very well and I'm extremly happy with it. Unfortunatelly in Switzerland we have to do a technical c...
