Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Has anyhone considered working for Cracker Barrell part time? I won't be working for CB when we retire in Sept., as I have another work idea I plan to do while travelling. I discussed working part time for CB with the manager of the local CB here in our home town. Here's what he said as close to as I remember what he said:
"WE love seniors working part time for CB. You get hired by CB and then you must work a minimum of 10 hours monthly to retain your job. You can go anywhere in the USA where there is a CB, show the manager your employment papers, and you can expect to be hired. You might not have a choice of what yhou will be asked to do, but you can always tell him/her what you do best."
He also said they welcome RVs staying overnight on their lot for a couple of nights.
I thought this to be quite interesting.

Ooh, that is interesting. I didn't know about that but I have worked in a restaurant for many years and want to do that part time when I retire from teaching. Being on the road that will be an ideal situation for me. We are a few years out from retirement and full timing but I will look into this option.
I used to work at Cracker Barrel. Just a heads up - 10 hours a month is sometimes all you get. I had to quit to find a job that actually gave me hours, so I could survive. I would've stayed at CB otherwise, it was wonderful. The people are great.
