Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Can anyone tell me exactly which plan Millenicom currently has that is on the Verizon network? I have a Sprint smart phone that I use to tether on the internet and would like to pick up something on Verizon so I have a wide range of accessibility while on the road.
While Jo and I are happy living in our fifth wheel here in Oklahoma City, we've been anxious to get to actually travel with it. We were looking at the situation where she could retire early in October of 2013. While we would still need to work for some time to finish out getting out of debt, we've now been...

Put some money down on a 2002 class A Bounder, now the adventure starts. We will be part timers looking to be on the road for two to three months at a time, and be home for striper season in Rhode Island. Just curious how you go about depositing checks that you receive via mail into your bank accounts while on the road?We are going to start full-timing in 9 months and for some reason this is something that I haven't thought of before.I currently do all my banking on-line, but occasionally we get a...
Well we made it, man I have been to a few large rallys but this is mind blowing so many RV's inside 100's of ventors. The weather is beauitful parked 2 min's walking time to the front gate. The seminars are very imformative. All the new 2013 models are here, trying to keep in mind that our's is paid for a...
Hi,
We have a 30 AMP TRC Surge Guard Protector, model 34730 with a cable lock box that we used just a few times on our travel trailer. Then, of course, we upgraded to a 5th wheel and now need a 50 AMP. Will trade for a 50 if anyone downsizing or sell for $100.00. Paid about $239.00.

DW and I have been dreaming, talking and researching fulltiming for the last 5 years. Being in our mid 50's retirement is a long way off. We decided not to wait. Our tentative plan is to put the house on the market in spring and move into our 5ver at a local campground to test our ability to live fulltime...
Hey Everyone! I'm so happy that I found this site. My husband and I have been discussing buying a used RV and just getting the heck out of here with our kids as soon as we can. We are from Newark, NJ and we just don't feel like we belong. The people around here (including family) are really negative and drain...
Wow,, what a road it has been to get to this point. I just read what I typed in my intro page on this site and man how things have changed. At that point I still like my job and was working 50 to 60 hours a week and I thought the house would sell for about $600k. Now I decided to take a step down at work and took a 58%...
Can anyone recomend a good program for sanning documents and maybe even pictures? We are closing our business the end of September and going full timing as soon as our house sells. Yesterday I spoke with our CPA and she said I only need to save 4 years of records, and that the IRS will accept electronic...
I just wanted to acknowledge the help Linda and Howard have provided us in speaking to Guaranty RV about RV service and full time rv'ers. Your comments to them (as noted in Sept 12 journal entry) were right on the money. I wish all RV service centers could have heard that. Your help in making our lifes...

With our deepest sympathy and many tears we must sell our Montana 3605RL 38 foot with 4 slides 5th wheel. My spouse has been given a time line for his life and it isn't long. He desires to have me settled somewhere and the rig sold before that time comes. Our Montana comes with many extras included facto...
Has anyone had experience owning an RV lot/pad as an investment? Would love to see some sample numbers and know how hard it is to keep it rented, etc. thank you!! -Matt
I Think it would be great if everyone was to share a pic of there favorite places to see and maybe tell a storie of their best experiance of life on the road. I for one would love to hear it. Even tell a story of a bad experiance that has a good ending would be fantastic. I hope to see some pics and stories soon...
Hello everybody, I've been going over our fincancial situation and I need some advice from ya'll. I usually don't disclose my finances but I feel it necessary to help get some good advice about our situation plus Linda and Howard were very descriptive about their financial situation and noticed a lo...
Hello! I'm working on a TV documentary about Canadian workampers. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to chat with me about their experiences? I could use the help! :) You can email me at workamperdevelopment@gmail.com, or I'll check back here! Thanks so much!
Does anyone use a credit monitoring system like Life Lock? I've seen the ads and just curious if it works as advertised or if it's just another way to waste money.
I head read Terry & Jo's posts about Rolling Retreats in Elk City, OK on this forum. In searching for our rig I think I knew every used rig in the country and many new rigs besides. We had a budget and while I would have preferred a Suites our budget fit a Heartland that RR had taken as a trade in. We had...
Seemed like the best place to ask: As a 'newbie', a deep cycle battery is meant to be drawn down to say 30-50% and then be recharged (yes?) and such a battery has an approximate expected number of life cycles (yes?) If you are hooked up to shore power or your truck connection and your battery gets recha...
