Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Main point, make an effort to know someone anywhere you go....even if only there for a short time. Get out there and meet SOMEONE! My husband and I (and our two fur kids) have been temporarily staying in Tulsa, OK until our next job assignment in North Dakota. Beyond a few people that work with my husb...
It has been quite a trip. I took a plane from Tn. to my old hometown in NY State. Then rode with my daughter and the 11 & 10 yr old grandkids; we are in Grand Haven Mi. and I still have my hair. lol ! Will be leaving here on the 16th. Will take a train to St. Louis to visit the Arches; then off to Memphis and a bus...

Looks like I'll be hunkered down here at my brother in law's house for a while (2 hip dislocations last week; 4th in 2 years). We were in transit to visit him for a few days; he sure didn't expect us to move in for a few months!!! I hope to have revision surgery this week but will probably need PT for at least...
We currently have a 2012 F250 Lariat with the 6.7 Diesel Super Duty and a 2014 35 ft Montana High Country 5th wheel. A nice balanced pair, but the wife and I are considering moving smaller and more mobile to either the Winnebago Via or Itasca Reyo 25T. We chose the T model for the bed layout. Maybe just l...
Hello, I am new to the community, my name is Matthew from New London, CT. I just purchased a 1995 Ford E 350 Mini Bus just retired after this past school year. It is in great working order and I am in the process of gutting it to create a mobile home; taking out all the seats, ripping up the rubber flooring,...
I've read and watched this forum and blogs for three years, now. I research RVs constantly. I have tent-camped and hammock-camped, but I've never spent the night in an RV. I never comment on the forum, because I really have no experience to share. But, finally, it's beginning. I listed a LaZBoy an...
Can anyone tell me if Keystone's Montana is warrantied for FT use? It appears from their website that their Big Sky is, but I'm not even sure about that. We want to stick with brands that have a written warranty that does NOT exclude FT living. We are checking out both high end and mid-level units...
Hi all. We are getting ready to pull the trigger on F Time RVing before the winter comes this year. We have been looking at ( Evergreen Sunvalley's 32ft approx ) TT for 2 years now, no others seem to be as Green and quality minded, and are gearing up for the BIG adventure!!We are also trying to educate ourse...
Started this in another thread but moving it over here... I have seen a major personality shift since we bought the fifth wheel which really surprises me. I've never been the best housekeeper..in fact I'll admit it I was a bit of a slob. But because I am a bit claustrophobic I am obsessively cleaning...
Kind of cut/paste from another thread. I figured this might be an interesting tidbit for those thinking about selling their S&B's places. This simply shows the time-frames involved in planning to sale of our house, and some other hurdles we didn't expect along the way!! Note that in our case we h...
I am looking at a 2006 National Sea Breeze LX 8311 with 23,000 miles and would like information from anyone who has owned one. I will be full timing next spring with my sister and we have just started really looking with the intent to buy. The National RV stands out to me as a little different from all the o...
Time flies by quickly. We've just completed our first year of travels. We've made it about 2/3 of the way around the USA and turned West on the 8th of July heading back to Washington state. Another 3,000 miles and we will be back for a short visit and than will begin again. As everyone else mentions, we...
The house finally closed today. Lots of snafus even up to the last minute, but the money is in the bank and we're now ready to move onto the next chapter. Thank you, all my good friends and RV family here for all your tremendous support and prayers throughout this entire ordeal! Hope to see you all on th...
Over the 4th of July weekend spotted a brand new 40+ foot Prevost Bus Motorcoach. Beautiful paint scheme (goldtones) and it was equipped with all of the goodies. Unfortunately didn't have time to get over to see it up close and talk with the owner before they left the RV Resort. Like a Lamborghini is m...
I have been in the same park in Daytona for about five years during the winter months. Can anyone suggest a good park somewhere between Daytona and Ft. Lauderdale? Thanks

We plan to move into the RV in our back yard about the 13th, then move to a local campground on the 16th. All of the stuff we are storing will be picked up on th...
Hi all! Still in research phase shopping for a 5er to be our full-time, or at least most-time home. We've visited a local rv show, and some dealerships. Found some floorplans we like. It seems most companies have the same or very similar floor plans so there's choices across a wide number of compani...
I had an interesting email from good friends, Ruth & Dale (NWescapees), this morning asking how we're handling family time on an extended basis as they are back in their prior home area and their schedules are frantic. It got me thinking and it's true, this lifestyle spoils you with peace and quie...

Floorplan and interior pictures to be on the website in the next couple of days. MSRP for the 5th wheels will be $170,000 to $770,...
I have an issue with my 1993 Norcold refrigerator. On AC it works fine. On GAS too, starts any time right up but the flame is very turbulent. I cleaned the burner, lots of rust and ordered a new Orifice. I checked gas pressure (12 water column). The electronic keeps the flame on and the fridge is sure cold....
Hi. my Laptop just died in middle of my post (Think the shoemaker's shoeless children...) Question. The 2008 OEM battery on our 36 ft DRV Mobile suites battery just died. Totally As we are going to need to increase capacity at some point for dry-camping/boondocking and/or Solar, should we: A) Just re...
Ok.. Buying a 125k RV.. Moving to FL w/ a real address, and was just going to pay the 6% tax.. However, we will be conducting business on the road. Is it worth it to do the montana LLC or make South dakota my home state ( 3% tax ) Is there any other benefits to doing either of those? Versus FL? At a 7k bill.. not...
As the subject states, I'm trying to see which will work better for us. Has anyone done a complete comparison between the two? Such as, Medicare, Medicare supplements, auto insurance, RV insurance, licenses and registration, etc? I believe you have to go back to SD on your birthday to renew drivers l...
I'm down to a choice between a 2005 Mobile Suite and a 2009 Mobile Suite. Both are in excellent shape with very similar floor plans. My dilemma is for the $20,000 price difference is the 2009 worth it? Obviously it's 4 years newer, has a warranty thru 2016, 8000# axles, 17.5" H rated tires, disc bra...
Just curious, does anyone have Hehr windows that have fogged up? Have you had them repaired or do you just live with them? About 70% of my windows have fogged on a 2009 Motorhome. The company Hehr only stands behind there product three years. I guess they make disposable windows.....
