Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello all,We are looking for recommendations for a base plate installation on our 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. We're in northern Colorado but will travel to surrounding states if necessary to have someone install it who has experience and does quality, clean work. We had Hitch Corner in Ken Cary...
Any info would be helpful. We are done with our 6gal water heater. Can’t take it anymore. I’m getting a lot of conflicting info on tankless rv water heater. Want to know what works best for full time RV’ers. Thanks in advance. -- Edited by Gorgehex on Wednesday 13th of March 2024 05:28:28 PM
About to pull the trigger on a newer camper. I don't have any idea if a 12v RV refrigerator is a good idea or not. Want to do some boondocking but am leery. The rig I'm looking at only comes with a 12volt frig and is a 10 cubic inch model.I would think a couple solar panels would be a big help, but have no experi...
I know AM Solar has been mentioned on here and have gotten a lot of great reviews but they are too far away and was looking for someone closer to Colorado. Does anyone know of any other solar installers I could contact?
I haven't introduced myself properly on this site, bad manners: my name is Pierre. Hello.

I have a 2003 E250 conversation van and the power leather drivers seat by Atwood Mobile Products which needs a new seat bottom cushion. We are planning on heading south to New Mexico and westward through Arizona ending in Rosamond, CA to see some friends who have also just retired and may join us on...
As an armchair RV'er so far, I think of destination travel. A few examples, the Bourbon Whiskey trail in Kentucky, the vineyards of Napa, the American Indian reservations of the Southwest, the zoos and museums of major cities. Yellowstone, Glacier National Park, Yosemite. A place where you mig...
We seldom go anywhere without our Kindles. My question is this. What do you read while you're gone? My tastes are rather broad. I enjoy Christian fiction, John Grishom, both Jonathan and Faye Kellerman, and Patricia Cornwell. In the Christian Fiction, I loved the Baxter series by Karen Kingsb...

I am thinking about buying a portable table top Ice Maker that I can take with us as we travel with our 5th Wheel. I would also like to be able to hook it up in my garage when not camping. Do folks have any recommendations for an Ice Maker. I would love to find a good one that you manually add water when I am campi...

This forum has been an invaluable resource for hubby and I as we went through many years of wishing and hoping. Finally, after getting the truck in 2019 (2019 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel), this year we purchased a 2020 Arctic Wolf 305ML6 fifth wheel after selling our much loved Springdale travel trailer. I w...
Anyone have any links to blogs where the writer is in the process of planning to go fulltime in an RV? I'm wanting to follow along in their blog. -- Edited by mds1 on Friday 30th of April 2021 11:05:54 AM
Howard: Our rig is up at Recreational Specialties in Wakarusa, IN getting painted and spruced up a bit. We have been considering one of the roof overcoat systems for our TPO roof as an option. What was your opinion of the RoofArmor system as of when you sold your rig? Would you do it again? Are there ot...
What would you say would be the best antifreeze to use? I am new to RVing and do not want to deal with any burst pipes. We have had our RV sitting outside in the cold and so far so good, but I want higher levels of protection to be sure. I have been researching and found this site that offered some reviews, but I...
We are prepping for our FIRST trip to Disney Wilderness Resort July 1st. Instead of renting golf carts we purchased bikes. The grandson's bikes will fit in the back of the truck but we need to find a way to haul ours. Any recommendations on bike racks? Are the ladder racks sturdy? Thanks!!
We are traveling to look at a unit. We were not going to because after we were sent pics and saw the sticker with the GVW of 16375, we believed it would be too heavy for our tow vehicle to pull. When I responded to the seller, they replied that if our tow vehicle can tow 17000 that we were in great shape. The dry...
I have been using Microsoft Streets and Trips for the last 4 1/2 years. It has been unsupported since 2013 and is no longer offered by Microsoft. My software crashed back a few months ago so I have been looking for a replacement. I can't find a highly reviewed replacement, nobody seems to love what th...
I've been scrapbooking for 15+ years now and it's my creative outlet. I really had resigned myself to digital scrapbooking for FT RV'ing, but am having lots of second thoughts on that. I will continue to work full time and since I work on the computer all day, really could not bring myself to transfer m...
This has been a great source of information for a good many RV'ers that were researching on how and what to consider for full time living in an RV. There has been an extreme amount of knowledge shared here by so many people who have participated in the conversations. Even though I have had a good deal of...
I have a 2020 Puma 32BHKS for sale. This unit was used 7 times and is like new! GVWR is 9,995 pounds and is 36.5’ long. The rear bunk house is a LONG ways away from the master bedroom up front. The specs say it will sleep 10, but more realistically it will sleep 7. This unit has a beautiful outdoor kitchen. The...
I picked up my 2019 Ford F350 Diesel Dually 4.10 FX4 truck Friday afternoon. We haven't tried towing with it yet, as we have not yet picked up our DRV Mobile Suites from the dealer. However, we took the truck out Saturday for a few hours - out I-40 to a state park. This is the first truck I've ever owned, and I...
Interesting day today. We went into town to update/upgrade the wife's phone. In our discussions with the manager, I pronounced that I had absolutely NO use for a tablet. I'm not much of a reader, and I couldn't think of anything else that I would need one for, so I declined interest. Then in more dis...
Hi Linda. Howard wrote recently on a journal entry, that "Linda" was coloring her hair.. That reminded me of one of my biggest worries of our full timing plans... My Hair. Who and where will I get it cut and colored? I guess I take my chances at getting my hair cut, but I have always colored my owns hair. Soo...
