Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

This one ticks the boxes for me as a first time RV owner: Dry bath, bunk over cab so at least one bed is ready for sleeping, non-carpet flooring and not too crazy interio...

Now comes the arduous task of selling absolutely everything from dining room/bedroom/living room furnitures right down to the last knife and fork. Any...
I'm not happy with our current filtering system, so I'd like to improve it. The current setup is a pressure regulator followed by a filter. The filter is in a permanently-mounted housing, so it is fairly easy to change. The pressure regulator is mounted on the inlet of the filter housing. The advantag...

Black tank support on a 2016 Fuzion 416. Yes a dreaded black tank (BT) dump issue. I mistakenly left the black water valve shut as I put water through the clean-out valve. By the time I got back to the front of my rig, some sewage was dripping from the front bottom & I heard a thud. I immediately ope...
The interior of our camper is just plain ugly, boring and needs help even though it's only a year old. I know I can't drill holes in the walls but surely there is something I can do to make it more attractive. And, no, I'm not losing any sleep over this but just want to make the space MINE. HELP!!!
Hello all I am a father of 4 of elementary school age kids and with my awesome wife. Yeppers......we've been here in Oregon now for about 16 months at this retreat and reunion center as ranch hosts. (Those of you that know us know that we were in the Colorado Springs area for 20 months before moving here.) However, for several years, I have been wanting to get to Southern Utah to see a...
Hi all, brand new to this forum, but I joined to ask this specific question... My husband's father has gotten too old for RV-ing and wants to sell his RV to us, which is currently located in California. We currently live in Hawaii, but could take it for short vacations on the mainland for the next 4-5 yea...
My husband and I own an RV repair shop and he's been a certified RV Technician for 17 years and teaching for 6. We filmed his 15 hour course at rvmaintenancetips.org. We just wanted to help out fellow RV'ers so I hope this is ok. He also gives a lot of insider RV industry secrets. We are also building an epic...

We are looking for ideas for the month of November along the coast - possibly Rockport/CC area or nearby. Anyone stay somewhere they recommend - or definitely do NOT recommend? Thanks...
Hello, I'm Bob from Florida. My wife and I have been camping for a long time with tents, pop-ups, and most recently a class A, 2011 Thor Hurricane. We are in the process and are working a deal now on a 40' Class A DP. My wife and I served in the Army with for about 8 years apiece. Since then we have been in th...
We are thinking of going on the road. We have done nothing except a lot of research. I have researched for years and am really getting the desire to hit the road. But we have not purged, sold the house or bought the right rig yet. Is there any good resources on what to do first as in a checklist of sorts for th...
Can any one suggest book(s) that I can buy and study/learn about the various systems on Motor homes? Electrical, AC/heat, Appliances, etc., etc., etc. I am not very mechanically inclined so would like to learn as much as I can.I am planning on full timing in a Class A - used gas motor home when I retire.A...
I haven't been around much lately and miss all my RV-Dreams friends! Being stationary I feel like I don't have much to contribute here. We do live in a community with lots of RVers and I still sell real estate especially for RVers -- think FHU and like minded folks... But no RV in our life right now. 😞W...

Been full time for 10 months now and I've been reflecting on the advice that full timers should attempt to avoid the mind set of "being in vacation mode". It's a worthy observation, but for us, it's not like that. We travel because we want to see things and explore places ... you know, like a vacation. ...
Sorry if this is long…attempt will be made to make this organized, short, and concise as possible. What I will attempt is combine my research & opinion on the topic of F350 vs F450 in DRW configuration for 2015 & 2016 model years. Background & AcknowledgementI have a degree in Mechanica...
Hi all, Very happy to have found your forum. I've been looking for a toy hauler for over a year now and it seems from reviews there are very few good units out there. I realize most people who write reviews have had negative experiences, and most people who are happy with there purchase generally won't w...
Hi All, My Name is Steven. My wife and I are starting to look at the RV lifestyle more and more. I am in the research stage right now. I am hoping to gather as much information before we decide on the type of RV we want to how to make a living on the road.

We are here in So TX. It's averaging over 100 degrees every day. The smell of the black water tank is horrible. We dump every week and put in two tablets. Any suggestions on what we should do to keep the smell down?
Hello, everyone-- My wife and I became full-time RVers in September 2016. We travel in our 5th wheel and Chevy diesel truck. We sold our house and acreage in March 2016 and were stationary until I finished work in September when we hit the road. Our plan is to travel for the next 2-3 years and see t...
