Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Flooring in Motorhome

Hello Everyone

We have a problem with our motorhome. It is a 2008 Damon Outlaw Toy Carrier and it sprung a leak around the hot water tank. I will repair that but the floor has lifted in several areas. Now I am mechanical but not to good on finishing touches. Should I take this to a dealer or can any good flooring company be able to reglue the flooring? Seeing that we live in Canada and the temperature gets a little cold at times I don't know if you need special glue.

One other question for anyone familiar with this MH. We purchased this unit used so I do not know if there was an option for a ladder for roof access or not. Is there any advice on how I can get on the roof of this MH without a jet pack?

Best Regards: Pitbull

Pitbull--as far as I know there is nothing special about the flooring in a motorhome, any competenet floor person should be able to repair or replace the floor.  As far as roof access do a search for a collaspable extension ladder. Some are better than others so look closely at weight limits.  The steps slide down next to each other and made from aluminum, lightweight and smallish, just what an RV'er likes.

Thanks Flyone, I asked the dealer and they came back with exactly what you said. They did recommend not to glue entire floor but to spot glue it so it will still float.

Thank you again for your response
