12v RV refrigerator, yes or no
(Preview)
About to pull the trigger on a newer camper. I don't have any idea if a 12v RV refrigerator is a good idea or not. Want to do some boondocking but am leery. The rig I'm looking at only comes with a 12volt frig and is a 10 cubic inch model.I would think a couple solar panels would be a big help, but have no experi...

Water Filtration
(Preview)
We recently purchased a pre-owned DRV MS. It has a factory installed water filtration system, but do we need to purchase a separate system to "pre" filter the water? I say we need one, hubby says we dont! 😄 -- Edited by jcordar2 on Friday 27th of November 2020 06:58:40 PM

We are in the process of buying a new Landmark 5th wheel and a new Ram 3500. We were at the Spring RV-Dreams Rally and saw lots of rigs that had a small "step" in front of the 3 or 4 steps into the rig. We're going to possibly need two of these - one to help my elderly mom reach the side rail on the truck, and the o...

Has anyone made a sewer hose weight? So many of the sewer openings don't have threads so the threaded fittings don't hold the hose positively down into the opening. I want to make something, but I'm having trouble thinking of something that can be used in all the contingencies we find and...

Slightly Different Mattress Issue

After two years of barely acceptable comfort, we decided we had to replace or improve the original mattress in our TT. I know that running the generator and house AC units while underway is a common practice with motor home owners. It seems to me that the same could be done with a 5th wheel as the equipment is basically the same ... I’ve never done this, but it seems doable ... it would have a side benefit of exercising the...
