Oh, wait.... ....let me explain. I had my first cataract surgery today. We've started with my right eye as it is the dominant one. Because of my anxiety, I was not looking forward to being awake and aware while the surgery was performed. But, they gave me something that really calmed me down, and I ju...

One year to the day
(Preview)
We're doing it! We picked up our 5th wheel on Monday, exactly one year after we left the 2012 RV-Dreams Spring Rally in Kerrville, TX. Turning our dream into reality was possible in no small part because of all the excellent information available through RV-Dreams and its members. Thanks to all of you...

Business advertising
(Preview)
Do RV parks give you a hard time for putting magnetic signs on your RV advertising your business or service? What about handing out flyers and business cards? I would imagine this type of thing is done quite regularly since many FTers are running businesses from their RV. Thanks Kyle

Happy tears tonight as Dale arrived home after a 17 day trip to trade in our truck and pick up our 5th wheel, issues with the truck, then the trailer and finally the weather turned a 8-10 day trip into 17. Fuel Pump Speed
(Preview)
Have any of you noticed the pumps at the gas stations seem to run at a slower speed ? I noticed this about 2 years ago when the gas prices approached $5.00 per gallon it seemed like the stations had turned down the speed on the pumps. Are they trying to convince us we were getting more for our money ? Just...

Hi, my husband and I have a Class A. She's graced our life for about 8 years now. I still love her as much as ever. My husband is a Flooring Contractor 25 years now. Work's been spotty over the years and we've been living paycheck to paycheck...lost our home to foreclosure and so we're renting. But I held on...

I have used hundreds of campgrounds over the years. I had an experience recently that made for "the last straw." Went to a CG, registered, and then drove to my assigned site. It was too small and not level. I had to manuver the MH back to the office (it was a very long walk) to get a site that w...

It's spring clean up time for the yard, so happy to know this is the last time I have to trim the ivy away from the waterfall in our back yard, the last time to clean the deck, power wash the patio, kill the moss in our yard. Ernest Borgnine's RV Adventures
(Preview)
I ran across this on You Tube, and I thought I'd share; apparently, Ernest Borgnine was an RV'er, with a 40 foot class A, and there was going to be a documentary about his adventures on the road. The show never got picked up by a network, so the film makers put it up as a sort of tribute channel on You Tube. htt...

Any words of wisdom out there on backing a 36' 5th wheel into a camp site? Weve done fairly well backing to the right, but were practicing at park last week (it was almost empty so a good time to just practice) we both tried for about 2 hour to get the dang thing into a left back in space and never could get it. ...
