Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Happy tears tonight as Dale arrived home after a 17 day trip to trade in our truck and pick up our 5th wheel, issues with the truck, then the trailer and finally the weather turned a 8-10 day trip into 17. Our new home on wheels is now parked in the hosue we're getting ready to put on the market!! I think this experience has made us both question if we will ever purchase long distance again.
We love the PNW in the summer and will most likely continue to summer up here, we're just getting rid of the half acre lot! Looking forward to the next steps and hoping the sun will come back out sometime soon. Oh yeah, it's April, we were lucky to have a couple of good days. One more reason for only being up here in the summer again.
Thanks everyone for your support, we're looking forward to many more mountain views as we start our travels.
You have to get the "bugs" out of every vehicle. When that's over; let the fun begin! I'm trying to be patient sitting here in lebanon; TN. Would love to be in the mountains; but anything lower than 55 degrees don't agree.

WOW! Nice looking Rig! Like already said, once all the start up bug are worked out, you will be fine. It is a shame that these bugs exist, but quality id not what it used to be as more and more manufacturers go overseas for components. Looks like you matched the truck and rig color very nicely. What color does Ford call the truck?
Best of luck selling your house!!! We have ours on the market now and are just waiting for it to sell so we can hit the road.

Rick and Janie - F450 color is called Adobe, it was hard to find one that wasn't white or black, but this works well with our DRV Mobile Suites. It's actually the color we ordered for a special order that was totally fouled up, that's how we ended up with a pre-owned F450, and Plan C on the truck, got tired of waiting more than 10 weeks for the truck we thought was going to be here over a month ago.
Given that we purchased a pre-owned 2010 5th wheel and a 2012 pre-owned F450, we had been hoping the bugs had been worked out already, certainly didn't expect that the bugs would result in 6 extra days for Dale in Oklahoma. Oh well, he changed out the kitchen faucet, the shower head and did a ton of cleaning on the cabinets, etc.
Wow! You've certainly had speed bumps to getting on the road but is that ever a gorgeous rig! Your attitude has been wonderful and we really look forward to seeing you on the road!!
