Ready, Set... and the house is not selling!
(Preview)
When I was 15 I saw a motor home and thought I would really like to live in that and travel. That dream never went away. Grew up, got married, raised kids. Now it is time. After 3 years of looking for our perfect motor home, we bought it! Purchased a 42 foot 2008 Monaco. I LOVE it... despite the post p...

What If's?
(Preview)
Good morning all! I have a question I have not seen addressed here on this forum, not recently at least. I want to preface it by saying that yesterday I ALMOST had what could have been a bad car accident. Someone not paying attention to my blinker being on and entering the lane I was entering at the same...

Some of you may have seen this from RV Travel Newsletter. I think we will keep an eye on this product and get in on it when it rolls out versus a preorder. I love supporting start up companies, especially in this lousy economy! Hope all is well RV Dreamers http://www.scoutalarm.com/

Mountain Passes?
(Preview)
The post about Donner Pass got me to thinking. How does Donner Pass compare to Monarch or Molas in CO? I think Monarch is easier to drive but is a little longer. Is there any kind of directory/publication for the "drive-ability" of mountain passes? I'll be honest, I'm from Texas and the...

So the last time we got to put the key & turn it (no, we're not full-timers yet. Seven years and planning to go...) was to attend an oh so fancy Newport Polo tournament. We were asked to go by a colleague to join them for a match. There would be lots of food, drink, friends, dogs, etc. Perfect!, I excl...

First night away from "home"
(Preview)
For me home is where the rig is parked and Dale and Tazzy Kat are hanging out. When we first decided to go full time my boss was really cool with the idea. His only requirement was that I make sure we're staying where we have data and voice connectivity and if I have to fly, Dale has to get me to an airport. G...

Weigh stations
(Preview)
OK, this might be a stupid question but.... If weigh stations are open on the highway, do we have to pull in to be weighed or is this just for 18 wheelers? Also, if it says to pull over for propane checks, I assume we do not have to correct? We are in a Diesel Pusher... Thanks for the advice.

When you started out, how long did it take you to slow down and stay somewhere a week or so? When we start, hopefully next spring we want to head to AK. I thinking this would be more of a vacation like trip than wondering through the woods approach. Just curious.
