Water heater
(Preview)
When I flip the switch to turn on my water heater it will try three times and then a red light comes on. I turn the switch off and wait a few seconds, then try again. Usually it lights the next try or two. I would like to know if anyone can tell right away what it could be. My water heater doesn't have an ano...

Problem With Thermostat
(Preview)
Our thermostat seems to have a mind of it's own. We will set it at a certain temp. and the thing changes to 72, faithfully, on it's own! Has anyone had a problem with theirs? If so, what did you do to fix the darn thing. I mean it is cold outside but 72 is a little warm for us!

Opening the windows on a slide out
(Preview)
The windows on the sides of the slide-outs have two tabs at the top of the bottom window, that you pull toward the center while lifting up on the window. At least that is how it seems to work. I've also posted the problem I have to the owners' forum but no one has a solution and can't figure out what I am not d...

Rubber Roof Coatings
(Preview)
I've got a 4 year old MH with a rubber roof. I've had leaks on and off and have managed to caulk and seal, but it's getting to the point that I'm getting tired of this ikrsome job. I also suspect that the vent and skylight hoods are weathered to the point where they might have micro leaks. I search previo...

Changing the Engine Coolant Fluids
(Preview)
I guess I travel with my head in the sand... I've had our coach for 16 months and have traveled about 15,000 miles and just found out that I should be changing the Anti Freeze (Engine Coolant Fluids) in that same period. Is this something that is on "your" maintenance schedule?

Diesel Pusher "Engine Air Conditioning"
(Preview)
Some where back, I heard that you can't rely on the engine air conditioning system to cool enough to make any difference in the temperature of the coach...any truth to it? or, do you have to run the generator while on the road to run the roof air? If the engine air is to work ok, has any one re-charged thei...

Towing 5th Wheel in Below Freezing Temperatures
(Preview)
Does anyone do anything special to move when the temperatures are below freezing? Just wondering since the heat won't be on in the trailer and the inside of the trailer is bound to be colder moving down the road than if it was sitting still.

For instance, having been a former truck driver, I am aware that diesels occasionally need to have the fuel filter(s) repl...
