Is it safe to have wheels up?
(Preview)
We are going to be parked for about a month. Is it safe to have the RV lifted so that the wheels are off the ground (we put wheel covers on as well), or is that putting too much strain on the landing gear and leveling jacks?

Don't install a water filter under the kitchen sink
(Preview)
I have spent the last day and a half installing a water filter under the kitchen sink in my class A RV. Never again. The instructions said it would take 30 minutes. I spent a little over 8 hours doing the work. Nothing about the water filter is compatible with the RV plumbing. To convert the pipe to fit I had...

Awning closing
(Preview)
Ok, here's another weird question. I wonder if I have a ghost in the house. I have an electric awning that randomly keeps automatically closing. It's designed to do this when there are high winds, but there wasn't even a slight breeze. It just up and closed for no apparent reason. Any ideas?

Hi all. Just wanted some input cause I know there are so many knowledgeable folks out there. I want to install a Rotary Tank rinser in my black tank, someone told me I should reconsider and not drill into my tank because of its age (on a 1998 Fleetwood). Any thoughts? BTW, they have no knowledge of RVing. T...

Ok, I have no idea how it happened, but somehow Mitch managed to get locked in the bedroom while the slide was in (I don't know why he was in the RV or the bedroom to begin with). We must not have locked it in position before we took off, and since the RV wasn't level, the door slid shut. He did manage to open i...

Refrigerator - LP or electric?
(Preview)
I don't have the model available at the moment (in a 2008 DRV Mobile Suites) but hopefully this is a generic question --- There are 2 modes to run it: LP and Auto. I assume when on Auto, it means the refrigerator decides whether it's running on gas or electric. Is there a way to determine exactly how it is...

Is it possible to have the air conditioner, and outlets work off our batteries in our travel trailer?

The RV Park we're at is having constant power outages in this heat. We don't own a battery for the trailer right n...
