Roof leak caused side delamination
(Preview)
I bought a Winnebago Adventurer (2000) that looked great. The owner was not too bright and tried to seal the fiberglass roof with rubber roof sealer. The result was a leak around the shower skylight that ran down the side of the RV (right by the slideout), that has caused the fiberglass to delaminat...

No 12 Volt Service
(Preview)
Our coach depends on the 12 volt system to operate our house lights even when connected to shore power. We are currently connected but have no 12 volt power so no house lights. We have a Xantrex True ChargeRM Converter Part # 810-8012-10. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks, Judy

Window leak
(Preview)
One of our back windows is dripping onto the bottom track, but it appears the outside seal is dry and intact. Husband is going up on the roof now-any ideas as to how this could be happening? It is like the window is leaking from it's roof track.

An Aid to Understanding a Transmissions Tow/Haul Mode
(Preview)
While on another forum, I ran across a very good explanation as to the workings of a transmission with the Tow/Haul feature built in. For the benefit of those still learning, that feature changes the shift points in a transmission and also aids in slowing a truck on downhill grades similar to what an e...

Slide Sag
(Preview)
We just found out that oe of our slides has some evidence of sag, which has me pretty concerned. Am I right to think this is going to be terribly $$ to correct? I understand without specific it is hard to say, but this has always been something I've worried about-could you give me a range of scenarios?

Just curious, does anyone know if it is more efficient and /or economical to run your standard rv fridge on propane or ac? I know it depends on the price of propane and power but if all things were at average prices? Does that make sense?

Ok, so we are getting ready to head out in our 5er in 3 weeks. So today, because it was nice outside...I decided to wash my rolling condo...it had some black streaks and some bird droppings in places. So armed with the black streak spray cleaner, a long handled brush and a water hose I proceeded to attemp...

Need help with Big Time Tire Blues

Not sure how many of your remember my Michelin tire woes but they've become impossible. We've been trying to buy new 245/R70 19.5 tires for the past two months and can find no one around us within 125 miles who can get us any with dates newer than 2008. We've called Michelin and they have been as help...

How many miles do you travel each year?

We're trying to estimate how many miles we will put on our primary RVing vehicle when we hit the road fulltime. We're just curious about other's experience. We've put nearly 100K miles on the Ford we use to pull the 5er with in the past 3 years. But that also includes around town miles. What we're tryi...

Well I've been sufficiently convinced that I want a Michelin tire rather than another brand but now my question is how many of you are using XRVs as opposed to XZEs? I can apparently get XZE tires without a problem and am being told by at least one tire place that he has a lot of "rv clubs" and the...

Taking a stab in the dark here. We're doing work on Winnona before leaving for the rally. New tires - if they will ever show up - new water heater - replacing awning and slide toppers. Slideouts moving

We just purchased a 2008 three slide Mobile Suites. Went to pick it up and all slides were in flush. After bringing it home (100 miles), we noticed all of the slides had come out at the bottom a couple of inches. I retracted them and they snugged in as adv ertised. What would have caused this? Where should I...

Is Caulking a DIY Project?

I'm willing to try to take care of anything I can . . . within my skill level - I learned by watching my Dad. He made it all look so easy. We've got some leaks in our camper - and because of the unusually wicked snow and cold we've had this winter . . . I don't know when and even if I can caulk around the windows....

I don't know how on earth it happened - but suddenly water isn't draining at all. It has been slow in the past, but never like this.
