Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

"A Market Survey"

I'm not trying to solicit or advertise a service or business here, but rather taking a market survey.

Hi Folks, I often hear that Motor homes (we have a 38' class A - Safari Cheetah RV) are often used once or twice a year, and sit parked a fair amount of the rest of the year. Unless your full timing and always on the go.

I'm wondering if there is a "Market" for "Hiring out our Cheetah" for instance? We would provide 'Sherpa" style services including the RV, Chauffeuring, set up, break down camp, etc. for folks who no longer have the energy/ability, due to physical restraints, or other challenges.

We would provide a Menu of our services, for them to Customize their journey, then shower them with Door to Door benefits to their favorite location.

I'm thinking Win Win for all involved in this idea. Our Cheetah gets exercised, we get exercised when off duty (we bike, trail run, kayak) and guests still enjoy the thrill of RVing.

Thoughts??

RE:

Have you checked out RVShare.com. Some folks are making a pretty penny renting out their RV during the year when they aren't using it, and the company handles all the payments etc. They say up to $10K per year, but some are making more than this in high demand locations for tourism (San Fran, LA, Seattle etc) vehicle gets exercise, you get a little extra income, and from what we've heard from others its worked very well for them with little inconvenience for the most part. Good luck, SD.

It works for the Yachting industry. With good marketing to reach as many as possible, I think it would work.

RE: Disabled

I have an auto immune disorder and would be very interested in services such as these. I am currently researching as I am getting very close to making a decision about becoming a full-timer. I can hold my own for the most part now but down the road???
